The Progressive Youth Forum team members visited the house of Suraj Singh, resident of Ward No. 3, Village Dalsar, Ramnagar, whose house was damaged due to heavy rainfall on 26.09.2025. The team, including Vishal Singh and Vicky Singh Bandral and other members, has been continuously visiting Suraj Singh’s home and providing him with all possible assistance whenever required. Today again, the Progressive Youth Forum extended further help by providing him ₹21,000 and a tent.
Progressive Youth Forum team member Advocate Anoop Singh urged the SDM Ramnagar to provide every possible support to Suraj Singh for the reconstruction of his damaged house and to include his name under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

*DISTRICT POLICE REASI CRACKS DOWN ON DRUG PEDDLING — HABITUAL OFFENDER ARRESTED WITH HEROIN-LIKE SUBSTANCE IN KATRA*

*Reasi, October 25, 2025:* In a major action against drug trafficking, District Police Reasi today arrested a notorious and habitual drug peddler near Eidgah Nangal Road, Katra. The accused has been identified as Maya Mir W/O Anwar R/O Railway Road, Katra.

During the patrolling and checking duties, the police intercepted the accused and recovered *6.360 grams* of heroin-like substance from her possession. In addition, the following items were seized on the spot:

*Cash amounting to ₹7,900/-*

*Electronic weighing machine*

*A plastic container*

*15 strips of aluminium foil*

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused is a repeat offender and has a long history of involvement in drug trafficking and other criminal activities. She has previously been involved in the following cases registered at Police Station Katra:

1. FIR No. 205/2021 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act

2. FIR No. 145/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act

3. FIR No. 130/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act

4. FIR No. 379/2021 U/S 323/341 IPC

5. FIR No. 83/2022 U/S 323/341/504/506 IPC

Owing to her repeated involvement in drug-related offences, the accused was also detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA) in 2022 and lodged in Ambphalla Jail, Jammu.

In this connection, FIR No. 288/2025 has been registered at Police Station Katra under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway to identify her supply network and associated links.

The whole operation was conducted under the leadership of 𝗦𝗛𝗢 𝗣/𝗦 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽. 𝗞𝗵𝘆𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗗𝗣𝗢 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗗𝗿. Bhishm Dubey, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗣 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗵. 𝗩𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗻, 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦.

REASI POLICE CONTINUES STRONG ACTION AGAINST CRIME; ARMS RECOVERY & ILLICIT LIQUOR SEIZURE IN KATRA

*Reasi, October 25, 2025:* District Police Reasi continues its sustained drive against illegal activities, including smuggling of liquor and misuse of weapons, to ensure peace and safety in the district.

*1. Illegal Liquor Seized in Katra*

On the evening of 24-10-2025, a police patrol team at Katra apprehended a person identified as Mohinder Kumar S/O Dalip Kumar R/O Jhuggi’s Opposite Katra Stadium, who was found carrying a bag suspected of containing illicit liquor. Upon checking, the bag was found to contain 42 bottles of JK Whiskey (250 ml each).

On the basis of the docket submitted by the patrolling party, a case FIR No. 287/2025 was registered at Police Station Katra under Section 223(a) BNS and 48(a) Excise Act. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source and intended supply chain.

*2. Four Accused Arrested with Weapons in Katra*

In another swift action on 24-10-2025, Police Station Katra received information regarding possession and suspected use of weapons by certain individuals. Acting promptly, a case FIR No. 286/2025 under Sections 351(2)/126(2)/3(5) BNS and 4/25 Arms Act was registered.

A dedicated police team was constituted, which conducted immediate raids at suspected hideouts and successfully apprehended the accused persons within one hour. The arrested individuals have been identified as:

1. Karan Masih, S/o Sanju Masih, R/o Counter No. 2, Katra

2. Jasvinder Singh @ Sundri, S/o Ganga Singh, R/o Sarna, Katra

3. Rajinder Singh Jamwal, S/o Karan Singh Jamwal, R/o Pamote, Katra

4. Satish Kumar, S/o Rakesh Kumar, R/o Katra

Among the arrested individuals, Karan Masih, Jasvinder Singh and Rajinder Singh have a previous record of involvement in various criminal cases in Katra and nearby areas.

*Bovine Smuggling Attempt Foiled, 04 Bovines Rescued, Accused Arrested by Udhampur Police*

Police team of PP Sudhmahadev during routine patrolling duty received reliable information, that a person namely Mohd Latif S/O Mohd Shafi R/O Kutwalt was taking 04 bovine animals on foot from Mantalai Kossar towards Kashmir Valley via Garsoli.

Upon this, a police party immediately rushed towards the said location. The accused was found transporting the bovine animals in a cruel and inhumane manner by beating and whipping them. Upon reaching Gau Karan, the accused tried to flee after spotting the police party and abandoned the bovine animals, but due to hectic efforts, the accused namely Mohd Latif was apprehended on the spot.

In this regard, a case under FIR No. 104/2025 u/s 223 BNS and 11 PCA Act has been registered at P/S Chenani. The accused has been arrested and the bovine animals have been rescued by the police.

Further investigation is underway.

बताया जा रहा है कि यह मामला दुकानदार सौरव शर्मा उर्फ़ बबलू से जुड़ा है।
फुटेज में झगड़े के दौरान कुछ लोगों द्वारा दुकान में तोड़फोड़ और हाथापाई के दृश्य कैद हुए हैं।

अब सवाल यह उठ रहा है कि —
👉 असल में झगड़ा किस बात पर हुआ?
👉 और किसकी गलती थी?

घोरडी की जनता से अपील है कि वीडियो देखकर खुद अपनी राय दें और बताएं कि इस पूरे मामले की असली सच्चाई क्या है।
