BJP OBC Morcha Pays Tribute to Kargil Martyrs at Balidan Stambh, Jammu on 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas.
Jammu, July 25, 2025 — On the solemn occasion of the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Braham Jyot Satti , President BJP OBC Morcha JK-UT along with Abhay Kumar Mahajan ( Co- Convenor BJP senior Citizen cell ) and BJP workers paid heartfelt tribute to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives for the nation during the Kargil War.
The commemorative event was organised by Rampal Mehra and held at the iconic Balidan Stambh in Jammu, a symbol of supreme sacrifice and patriotism.
The Program Led by senior leaders of the BJP OBC Morcha, the gathering witnessed floral tributes, candle lighting, and a collective silence in honor of the martyrs. Party members, ex-servicemen, youth volunteers, and local citizens joined the ceremony in a display of national unity and remembrance.
Speaking on the occasion, Braham Jyot Satti said, “Kargil Vijay Diwas is not just a day of pride, but a solemn reminder of the bravery and selfless dedication of our armed forces. It is our moral duty to remember and honor these heroes.”
He said Pakistan which is now a country of terrorists and it always supports terrorism has its bad prolonged habit of betray and it did the same in 1999 over kargil and our brave soldiers gave befitted reply and won Kargil War .
The OBC Morcha also reiterated its commitment to upholding the values of national service, unity, and support for the armed forces and their families. BJP is the only political party who always works in national interest .
The event concluded with chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and a patriotic pledge to carry forward the legacy of valor and sacrifice.
Abhay Kumar Mahajan said that India won the Kargil War in 1999. The war, which took place between May and July, saw India reclaim all the territories occupied by Pakistani forces along the Line of Control (LoC). The conflict ended with Pakistan withdrawing its troops after facing international pressure.
The final Pakistani withdrawal was completed by July 26, 1999, which is now celebrated as Kargil Vijay Diwas (Kargil Victory Day) in India and It is a significant event in the history of Indo-Pakistani relations and is remembered for the bravery and sacrifices of Indian soldiers.
