Rajiv Jasrotia Meets LG Manoj Sinha, discusses key public issues and development priorities
BJP MLA lauds successful anti-drug campaign, seeks continued focus on public welfare and youth empowerment
Jammu, June 14: Former Minister and BJP MLA from Jasrota constituency, Rajiv Jasrotia, today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and held detailed discussions on several issues concerning public welfare, infrastructure development, youth engagement and the overall progress of Jammu and Kashmir.During the meeting, Rajiv Jasrotia apprised the Lieutenant Governor of various matters related to the development needs of Jasrota constituency and other public concerns requiring attention. He emphasized the importance of strengthening infrastructure, improving civic amenities and ensuring the effective implementation of welfare and development schemes at the grassroots level.
The BJP legislator also discussed issues concerning employment opportunities for youth, enhancement of public services and the need for continued efforts to accelerate developmental activities in rural and urban areas alike.A significant focus of the discussion was the ongoing campaign against drug abuse in Jammu and Kashmir. Rajiv Jasrotia appreciated the leadership of the Lieutenant Governor and the administration for the successful conduct of the 100-day anti-drug campaign launched across the Union Territory.
He said the sustained campaign has played an important role in generating awareness about the dangers of drug addiction, mobilizing community participation and intensifying action against drug trafficking networks. He noted that the initiative has sent a strong message against the menace of narcotics and has helped create greater awareness among youth and society at large.
Jasrotia observed that drug abuse poses a serious challenge to society and stressed the need for continued vigilance, awareness programmes and coordinated action involving government agencies, educational institutions, social organizations and local communities.The MLA expressed confidence that under the leadership of the Lieutenant Governor, Jammu and Kashmir would continue to witness significant progress in the fields of development, governance, social welfare and youth empowerment.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha assured the legislator that the issues raised during the meeting would receive due consideration and reiterated the administration’s commitment to inclusive development, public welfare and the creation of a safe, prosperous and drug-free Jammu and Kashmir.Rajiv Jasrotia thanked the Lieutenant Governor for his patient hearing and proactive approach towards addressing public concerns, reaffirming his commitment to working for the welfare and development of the people of Jasrota and the Union Territory as a whole.
