GDC Gool Signs MoU with Prithibhaya-Vedantsara Foundation for Student Internship Programme.
Gool, May 25, 2026: Government Degree College (GDC) Gool, Ramban, today signed a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Prithibhaya-Vedantsara Foundation, a
registered non-governmental organization committed to community development,
experiential learning, and skill empowerment. The MoU was signed at the College
Residence to facilitate structured internship opportunities for students in coordination
with the college.
The MoU was formally signed by **Dr. Narinder Kumar, Principal, GDC Gool**, and **Mr.
Bharat Makotra, Founder, Director & CEO, Prithibhaya-Vedantsara Foundation**. The
event was attended by **Mohd Idrees (Department of Political Science), Dr. Imtiaz Wani,
Pinki Devi, Sunil Kumar**, faculty members, staff, and students of the college.
The collaboration aims to provide students with hands-on learning experiences through
structured internship programmes aligned with academic disciplines. Under the
agreement, students will participate in community-based projects, skill-development
activities, leadership programmes, environmental initiatives, governance studies, media
communication, disaster management, and other experiential learning opportunities.
Successful participants will be eligible for academic credits and receive certificates
upon completion of the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Narinder Kumar emphasized the importance of
experiential learning in higher education and stated that the partnership would help
bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and practical application.
Representatives of the Foundation highlighted their commitment to empowering youth
through mentorship, community engagement, and skill-based training.
The MoU reflects the shared vision of both institutions to promote quality education,
community engagement, and student employability in line with the objectives of the
National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and skill-oriented higher education initiatives. The
agreement will remain effective for a period of three years and is expected to create
meaningful opportunities for students to gain professional exposure and contribute to
social development.
The programme concluded with an interaction between faculty members,
representatives of the Foundation, and students, followed by a vote of thanks.
