Janipur Police Station,Jammu cracks theft case of 2024, Recovers stolen property worth 1 Lakh*

In a breakthrough, Janipur Police Station has successfully solved a theft case registered in the year 2024 and recovered stolen property worth ₹1,00,000.

On 03.11.2024, theft of electric wire valuing ₹1,00,000 was reported from the residence of Sh. Atul Gupta S/o Late Sh. Kundan Lal Gupta, resident of Suraksha Vihar, Paloura, Janipur. In this connection, a case FIR No. 124/2024 under Section 305 BNS was registered at Police Station Janipur.

After sustained efforts, meticulous investigation, and the use of scientific techniques, the police team of PS Janipur succeeded in apprehending accused Danish Massih S/o Anil Kunat, resident of Sunder Nagar, Talab Tillo. The stolen electric wire worth ₹1,00,000 has been recovered from his possession.

With this recovery, Janipur Police has once again demonstrated its high efficiency in crime detection and prevention, maintaining a theft-cracking rate of more than 80%. Active patrolling and consistent surveillance in the area have further helped in curbing incidents of theft and boosting public confidence.

The achievement was made possible under the able supervision of SDPO City West, Dr. Satish Bhardwaj, and overall guidance of SP City North. The relentless efforts of the police team, led by Insp. Vikram Sharma, SHO Janipur, are highly appreciated.

The Jammu Police reiterates its commitment to ensure safety and security of citizens through proactive policing, swift action, and community cooperation.
