More than 145 of the 193 UN member states have extended diplomatic recognition to the State of Palestine, following recent announcements by Britain, Canada, Australia, and Portugal, marking the first G7 nations to do so. France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Malta are anticipated to follow suit shortly. Russia, China, India, Arab nations, and the majority of Africa and Latin America have already granted recognition. However, Israel, the US, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and several others remain opposed. Europe remains divided, with recognition split nearly 50-50.
