Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist and strong supporter of President Donald Trump in the United States, was shot dead at an event at Utah Valley University (UVU) on Wednesday. Video footage of the incident circulating on social media showed Kirk addressing a large outdoor crowd when a loud crack, a gunshot, rang out. Kirk briefly clutched his neck before collapsing from his chair, sending attendees fleeing. He was 31 years old.

30 people have lost their lives and 60 others have been injured in the stampede at the Maha Kumbh venue in Prayagraj, said Vaibhav Krishna, DIG Mahakumbh. He added that the stampede took place between 1-2 a.m., when a huge crowd broke the barricades, which led to casualties.

Ratan Tata, the chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, passed away on Wednesday in a Mumbai hospital. He was undergoing treatment in critical condition and was in intensive care in the hospital for the past few days. Ratan Tata, 86, on Monday said he was undergoing a routine medical investigation due to his age and related medical conditions.
