A cloud burst on the mountain somewhere above Thathri, due to which heavy water came in thathri town. The entire barrack was filled with mud in the bathroom with water. There was no major damage to any kind of government property. The water tank, dustbin, and front were washed away.
Many old people, and children, who left the Nafri sentry of the post, were engaged on a war footing to evacuate people trapped in the village, leaving the house, breaking doors, windows and brought out to the school. No casualties have been reported so far

LG Manoj Sinha: I have spoken with the DC of Kishtwar and Doda regarding flash floods resulting from heavy rainfall. Fortunately, no loss of life or property damage has been reported. I have instructed them to expedite the restoration of roads, highways, and water pipelines. My condolences go out to the family of Pinki Devi, who tragically lost her life in a lightning strike. The DC of Doda will provide immediate relief to the family.
