Free Medical Camp Organized on the Occasion of Sanskrit Month

Vice Chancellor of Agricultural University Prof. B.N. Tripathi and S.P. Rural Shri Brijesh Sharma inaugurated the camp; 260 citizens benefited.
Jammu, 27 July 2025 (Sunday): Sanskrit is not merely a language of communication; it is the lifebreath of Indian culture, medicine, yoga, Ayurveda, lifestyle, and spiritual awareness. With this spirit at its core, a one-day free medical camp was organized by Shri Kailakh Jyotish avim Vedic Sansthan Trust, Raipur (Thather), Jammu & Kashmir, on the auspicious occasion of Sanskrit Month at the Jammu Yatri Bhawan Office, located at Shri Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple, B.C. Road, Jewel, Jammu.
In this service camp, around 260 citizens received health check-ups and expert consultations, which included tests and treatment for blood pressure, diabetes, bone and joint issues, Ayurveda, general ailments, etc. Free medicines were also distributed.
The event commenced with Vedic chants and lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The chief guest on this occasion was Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST-J), Jammu, Prof. B.N. Tripathi, and the special guest was S.P. Rural Shri Brijesh Sharma.
In his inaugural address, Prof. B.N. Tripathi said,
"Organizing a free medical camp during Sanskrit Month is not just public service—it is a unique confluence of Sanskrit and the spirit of service. Sanskrit is the consciousness of our sages. If we wish to return to our roots in today's times, we must align ourselves with Sanskrit, Yoga, and Ayurveda. The Trust has taken a commendable and exemplary step by integrating medical services with Sanskrit Month. This initiative not only promotes the language but also raises awareness about public health. The Trust President, Mahant Rohit Shastri, is playing a vital role in promoting the divine language Sanskrit in the region. All members of the Trust deserve heartfelt congratulations for this effort.”
S.P. Rural Shri Brijesh Sharma remarked,
"Today’s program is not just a health camp—it is a confluence of values, service, and culture. Such efforts are essential for building a drug-free, healthy, and aware society. When the promotion of Sanskrit extends beyond education and connects with service, its social impact becomes manifold. This is a highly commendable initiative by Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust."
Program coordinator and Trust President Mahant Rohit Shastri stated,
"Sanskrit is not just a language of speech, but a language of service. We do not see Sanskrit Month as a mere formality—we have transformed it into a medium of community service. Our motto is ‘From Sanskrit Service to Social Service’. The enthusiastic participation of citizens today reflects the public’s deep-rooted emotion towards our culture, language, and the spirit of service."
A team of senior and experienced doctors rendered selfless services during the free medical camp, including Dr. Vishva Gupta,Dr. Praveen Yograj,Dr. Sanjay Sharma,Dr. Vinay Khajuria.These doctors not only examined patients but also provided guidance on lifestyle management, healthy diet, and the importance of daily yoga. Free medicines were distributed to all attending patients.
