Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Jammu working under the able leadership of Prof. B. N. Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu, and guidance of Dr. Amrish Vaid, Director Extension, SKUAST-Jammu organised capacity building programme on Nutritional Interventions for Augmenting Livestock Health and Production for the officers of Animal and Sheep Husbandry Department. Dr M S Bhadwal Associate Dean FVSc & AH along with Prof R K Sharma, Head Division of Animal Nutrition, FVSc & AH inaugrated the programme. In his address Dr M S Bhadwal streessed upon feed fortification area, specific mineral mixtures, Prebiotic and probiotic supplements and bypass protein and bypass fat for better animal health. Dr R k Sharma also delibrated upon Utilization of Locally available feedstuff in livestock ration during the programme. At the outset Dr Punit Choudhary Chief Scientist and Head KVK Jammu formally welcomed the dignitaries and partcipants. Dr Ankur rastogi Professor Division of Animal Nutrtion, Dr. Nazam Khan Associate Professor, Livestock Farm Complex, Dr Prem Kumar Sr Scientist Fisheries, Dr. Vikas Mahajan Assistant Professor, Livestock Farm Complex, and Dr. Imran Ahmad Ganai Assistant Professor, Division of Animal Nutrition. made delibrations on various topics related to Animal nutrition including Precision Livestock Farming and its Application in Animal Breeding during the diferent technical sessions. Dr Ravneet kour, Dr Raju Gupta, Dr Poonam Abrol and Dr Satbir Singh of KVK Jammu helped in the smooth conduct of the programme
