Kishtwar: Amjad Giri, a volunteer associated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Kishtwar, has announced his resignation from the party with immediate effect.

In a brief statement, Giri said that his decision was prompted by the partyโ€™s failure to live up to the hopes and expectations of the people. He stated that, after careful consideration, he has decided to step down from his responsibilities and resign from the Aam Aadmi Party.

The event commenced with traditional religious rituals, during which members of the Hindu community offered prayers and worshipped their respective deities. One of the major highlights of the fair was the vibrant display of Dogri culture and folk traditions. The Kod Mela once again highlighted the deep-rooted connection between faith, tradition and folk culture in the region.
