*REASI POLICE APPREHENDS WOMAN WITH O***M; CASE REGISTERED UNDER NDPS ACT*

*Reasi, June 02:* Continuing its sustained efforts against drug trafficking under the ongoing *Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan,* Reasi Police achieved another success by apprehending a woman and recovering a significant quantity of an o***m from her possession.

Today, a police party of Police Post Dera Baba, while performing naka checking and patrolling duty near Bhabbar Brahmana, intercepted and apprehended a woman identified as Jatinder Kour W/O Gurbachan Singh R/O Kherwad, Bhabbar, Reasi.

During the checking, the police recovered 102.370 grams of an o***m from her possession. The recovered contraband was seized on the spot following all legal formalities.

In this connection, FIR No. 99/2026 under Section 8/18 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Reasi and investigation into the matter has been taken up.

Reasi Police remains committed to eradicating the menace of drugs from society and appeals to the public to extend their cooperation by sharing information regarding drug peddling and narcotics-related activities in their areas.

*REASI POLICE CONTINUE CRACKDOWN ON NARCOTICS, RECOVER 6.3 GRAMS OF CHITTA*

*Reasi, June 01, 2026:* Continuing its relentless drive against drug trafficking under the *Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan,* Reasi Police achieved another success by apprehending a drug peddler and recovering contraband substance from his possession.

During naka checking at Balni Naka on 31.05.2026, a police party of Police Station Katra intercepted an electric auto bearing registration No. JK20C-8618, which was coming from Katra and heading towards Reasi. The vehicle was being driven by Anil Sharma, S/o Shubash Chander, R/o Saroon Aghar Jitto, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi.

During the checking, the police party recovered approximately 6.3 grams of he**in (Chitta) from the possession of the accused. Acting promptly, the accused was taken into custody and the contraband was seized as per legal procedures.

In this regard, a case FIR No. 166/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and investigation has been taken up to ascertain the source and intended destination of the recovered contraband.

Reasi Police remains committed to eradicating the menace of drugs from society and appeals to the public to cooperate with law enforcement agencies by sharing information related to drug trafficking and substance abuse. The sustained efforts under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan will continue with full determination to ensure a drug-free society.

*REASI POLICE SOLVES THEFT CASE; STOLEN PROPERTY WORTH ₹2.40 LAKH RECOVERED*

*Reasi, May 31:* District Police Reasi has successfully solved a theft case registered at Police Station Bhawan vide FIR No. 23/2026 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

During the course of investigation, police apprehended the accused, Rajnish Kumar S/O Prem Chand R/O Jalandhar, Punjab. Acting on his disclosure the police team recovered stolen property worth approximately ₹2.40 lakh, including mobile phones and other valuable items.

The accused is presently under police remand and further investigation is underway to ascertain his involvement in other similar theft cases

District Police Reasi remains committed to ensuring the safety and security of pilgrims and the general public. The swift detection of the case and recovery of stolen property reflects the professionalism, dedication, and vigilance of the police force in maintaining law and order across the district.

Baba More Arnas ke kai logon ne shikayat ki hai ki Reach Dredging Ltd. Company dwara ret (sand) ki bikri mein approved rates ko lekar uljhan bani hui hai. Shikayatkartaon ke mutabik, DC Reasi Order No. DC-RSI/21-22/NSQ/1942-65 dated 06.10.2021 ke tahat nirdharit rates ke mutabik ret ki bikri honi chahiye.

Logon ka kehna hai ki site par approved rate list ya display board nazar nahi aata, jis karan aam janta ko asal rates ki jankari nahi mil pati. Is wajah se logon mein narazgi dekhi ja rahi hai.

Shikayatkartaon ne yeh bhi aarop lagaya hai ki ret ki payment adhiktar cash mein li ja rahi hai. "NO QR SCANER FOR GOOGLE PAY "Unka kehna hai ki cash transactions se pardarsh*ta par sawal uthte hain aur iski bhi jaanch honi chahiye.

Logon ka yeh bhi kehna hai ki site par DMO ka adhikrit adhikari ya representative niyamit roop se duty par maujood nahi hota, jis karan monitoring aur supervision ko lekar sawal khade ho rahe hain.

Shikayatkartaon ke mutabik, is mamle se sambandhit video evidence aur kai representations pehle hi sambandhit adhikariyon ko bheje ja chuke hain. Iske bawajood ab tak kisi prabhavi karwai ki jankari samne nahi aayi hai.

Janta ne Tehsil Level Committee, Police, Civil Administration aur ACB se nishpaksh, transparent aur time-bound inquiry ki maang ki hai taaki tathyon ki pushti ho sake. Agar koi aniyamita payi jati hai to kanoon ke mutabik uchit karwai ki jaye.
