Major Seizure of Narcotic Substances and Arrest in Tubji Frisal**
On October 16, 2025, based on credible information received from reliable sources, Yaripora Police Station registered Case FIR No. 65/2025 under Sections 8/15 and 20 of the NDPS Act against Tariq Ahmad Malik, son of Mohd Ismail Malik, resident of Tubji Frisal. The information indicated that the accused was storing narcotic substances, including charas and poppy straw, at his residential premises.
A search was promptly conducted at the accused’s residence by a team led by IC PP Frisal, SI Rayees Ahmad, and SHO Yaripora, Insp. Sajad Khanday, in the presence of an Executive Magistrate. During the search, the following items were recovered:
1. **Charas Powder**: 1 kg 938 grams
2. **Charas Leaves**: 4 kg 824 grams
3. **Poppy Straw**: 13 kg 31 grams
4. **Cash**: ₹22,000/-
The accused, Tariq Ahmad Malik, was arrested on the spot, and further investigation is in progress to uncover additional details and potential links to drug trafficking networks.
