Jammu Apr 24: A delegation of the Shaheed Kissan Baba Jitto Sangharsh Samiti met the Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Rakesh Minhas (IAS). The delegation included Partap Singh Jamwal (President SKBJSS), Arun Sharma (BDC Chairman), along with other members.
The delegation presented their demand before the DC, stating that the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor (LG) has provided an indoor stadium at Jhiri, which has now been completed. The delegation expressed gratitude to the LG for this development.
They further demanded that the indoor stadium be named after Baba Jitto Ji, so that future generations can learn about his history and follow his ideals. They highlighted that Baba Jitto was a great saint and martyr, respected by all, yet there is no memorial or structure named after him to date.
