Traffic Police City Jammu Held Sensitization Programe On E-Challaning at DPL Jammu

Traffic police city Jammu held a Sensitization Programe on e-Challaning in DPL Jammu in which was chaired by Sh Vivek Gupta-IPS DIG Traffic Jammu Range.

The Programe was attended by Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma SSP Traffic city Jammu, Sh Raj Paul Singh ASP Traffic City Jammu, Sh Bikram Kumar DySP (T) City South Jammu, Sh Neeraj Kumar DySP (T) City Rural Jammu, Sh Javed Iqbal, DySP (T) City North Jammu & Inspr Gowhar Ahmed THQ J&K, All DTI's/SOT's of Traffic city Jammu. Inspr (s) Vimla Raina, Inspr (M) Mohinder Singh, SI(M) Santosh Kumar, Hc Ravi Kumar, Hc Girdhari Lal & Sadhu Ram of TPO Jammu were also present in the Programe.

At the outset of interaction Programe Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma, SSP Traffic City Jammu welcomed & briefed DIG Traffic Jammu regarding the functioning of Traffic Police City Jammu over eChallaning and other enforcement work as well as switching over completely to digital mode (eChallaning) in coming days.

DIG Traffic Jammu briefed the officers that the manual challaning through is a time consuming and shall switch over to eChallaning while carrying the enforcement duties, the eChallaning has been fully made operational and had been launched by DGP J&K, As such all the Officers shall completely switch over to eChallaning as sufficient number of eChallaning apparatus had been made available to Traffic and shall wear the body worn Cameras during duty hours.

The officers further stressed upon for proper utilization of the electronic gadgets (eChallaning Machines/Body worn Cameras) to achieve the desired results, He further emphasized that eChallaning mode is more transparent and quick disposal for enforcement agency, he briefed all the officers to be more dedicated and involve themselves in ensuring 100% digital by implementation of eChallaning besides shall keep close coordination with the concerned SDPO's, SHO's in calming the unpleasant situation on pressure points during peak hours on regular basis and marriage sessions.

Dr Koshal Kumar Sharma SSP Traffic also reviewed the individual functioning performance of the challaning officers and stressed for strict implementation of the Traffic Rules on roads, The challaning officers were directed to make all possible efforts to regulate Traffic in peak hours and ensured smooth flow of traffic in city Jammu.
He further directed all the challaning officers to remain focused against all visible traffic violations especially check over the overspeeding, Drunken driving, stunt biking, repeated offenders so that there DL's Shall are recommended for cancelation to respective RTO's.

During the meeting Inspr Gowhar Ahmed of THQ J&K also gave a detailed briefing to all officers in handling the eChallaning machine's. He cleared many doubts of the Challaning Officers and guided them in operation of these gadgets besides their maintenence.

JAMMU, 17 September 2022:

Traffic Police City Jammu along with Distt Police Jammu intercepted Two stunt bikers and challaned their motor cycles as well as seized, yesterday. These vehicles have bearing Registration No.JK02CV 6738 and JK02BX6413.

These individuals
used to do stunts and then post them on social media for publicity.

These individuals can be seen making stunts and driving dangerously which not only posed a threat to other people on the road but also has a negative impact upon other people who might get inspired to do so.. In this connection, both the bikes were challaned and seized on spot under relevant section of MV Act.

In order to discourage this menace, Traffic Police City along with Distt police Jammu launched special drives and established special nakas to intercept these stunt bikers.

The vehicles were identified by traffic police through viral video and informed SHO Nagrota Inspr Vishwa Partap, Within a very short span of time, SHO Nagrota raided the Bathindi area and seized both the vehicles.

As per sources, Traffic police also takes the initiative to cancel the DL as well as RC's of these bike's.

SSP Traffic Police City Jammu flaggs off “Har Ghar Tiranga” Bike Rally.

Dr Koshal Sharma, SSP Traffic police city Jammu flagged off the “Har Ghar Tiranga” bike rally of traffic cops and “ TBRC Bikers “ from Police Martyrs Memorial .

Sh Raj Pal Singh ASP Traffic Jammu, Sh Neeraj Paddyar DySP traffic city Jammu, Bikram Kumar DySP traffic city south Jammu, Ms Farha Nishat DySP traffic city north Jammu were also present on the occasion.

The route of this rally covered most parts of Jammu city from Police Martyr Memorial Railway to GHSS Bhalwal via Valmiki Chowk, Gole Market, main stop Gandhi Nagar, Satwari, Bikram Chowk, university road, PHQ chowk, Gujjar Nagar, DC office, Raghunath Bazaar, City Chowk, Shalamar, Indira Chowk, BC road, Bus stand, Bakshi Nagar, Vigilance rotary, Kachi Chowni, CPO Chowk, Ambphalla, Janipur, Bantalab and finally concluded at Govt higher secondary school Bhalwal.

“Har Ghar Tiranga” is a campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th years of Independence. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feelings of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.

Dr Koshal Sharma, SSP Traffic addressed the students of GHSS Bhalwal, highlighting the significance of our flag as unifying force in India, “As we proudly hoist our National flag, we also reflect and uphold our national values of oneness, harmony and universal brotherhood”, he suggested.

Traffic Police Jammu crack down on the stunt bikers in Jammu city.

Jammu 02-08-2022:- On the directions of Dr. Koshal Kumar Sharma, JKPS, SSP Traffic City Jammu, On 01.08.2022 Traffic Police City Jammu intercepted (03) stunt bikers and challaned them. bearing No.JK06A-6314, JK06A-9278 and JK02CQ-4499 driven by youths who use to post stunts on YouTube Instagram etc and other social media platforms.
The youth in their videos clearly seen making stunts and driving dangerously which posed threat to society and have negative effect on youth.

In this connection, all the 03 bikes were seized under relevant sections of MV Act.
In order to discourage this menace, Traffic Police City Jammu launched special drives and established special nakas to intercept the stunt bikers.

Subsequently, today on 02.08.2022, parents of youth along with violators were called in TPL Jammu for counselling. Parents were also advised to guide their children to avoid such dangerous activities and take interest in education and other aspects of life.

Media persons from various channel were also present at TPL Jammu who interacted with Traffic Police officers on various issues including stunt biking etc.

Raj Pal Singh Addl.SP Traffic City Jammu briefed media persons about steps being taken to curb the menace of stunt biking, rash and dangerous driving.

Secy ARI & Trainings review progress on development of online Mutual Medical Migration Portal

SRINAGAR, JUNE 22: Department of Administrative Reforms, Inspections and Trainings has taken a special initiative to bring relief for students who apply for mutual migration at different medical colleges located within the UT of Jammu & Kashmir by adopting online technology for the said purpose.

In this regard, a meeting was chaired by Secretary ARI & Trainings, Amit Sharma to review the progress on this initiative which was attended by Principals of all Medical Colleges including Director SKIMS, Additional Secretary ARI Trainings and other officers.

During the meeting a presentation-cum-demo was made by NIC J&K team regarding the development of portal. The NIC team informed that the portal for filing online applications for mutual medical migrations is at the final stage of launch (beta testing).

During the meeting, lot of important issues were finalised wherein couple of important decisions were taken to make the mutual migration of MBBS students completely online and user/mobile friendly.

Speaking during the meeting, the Secretary mentioned that the students clearing 1st Prof will seek NOCs from respective Medical Colleges and Universities online only without any human interface and the same shall happen in a time-bound manner. He added that after receiving the NOCs, the student will further apply on the portal for migration which shall be finally scrutinised by the Committee of Administrative Department as per the criteria devised for the said purpose before the final decision can be conveyed online to the applicant Medicos.

Meanwhile, in an another meeting, the Secretary, ARI & Trainings reviewed status of major ongoing legal cases in the department.

The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary, General Managers of the Government Presses, Deputy Legal Remembrance of Law Department, ALO, Under Secretary and other officers of ARI & Trainings Department.

During the meeting it was decided to contest few important pending cases and remain proactive in addressing multiple issues pertaining to ongoing litigations.

The Secretary directed that there should be no delay in disposing off legal matters and any delay in same shall become personal responsibility of the defaulting officers.

Around 4.5 lakh persons get treatment under Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY SEHAT scheme

Rs. 307crores paid to empanelled hospitals till date

SRINAGAR, JUNE 22: Jammu and Kashmir Government has treated more than 4.5 lakh people across the UT for various ailments under the Ayushman Bharat- PMJAY SEHAT scheme and paid Rs 307 crore to the empanelled health institutions under the scheme.

Under this scheme, J&K Government has empanelled around 250 hospitals including private run health institutes to provide free treatment to the beneficiaries under the scheme.

As per the statistics, 68.18 percent (69.85 lakh) of the beneficiaries have been registered under the scheme; making 76.59 percent of the total families eligible for benefits under the SEHAT scheme.

An official said that of the 69.85 lakh registered beneficiaries, 37.7 lakh people have been issued golden cards in Kashmir and 32.09 lakh in Jammu.

Government has employed all its resources at district level to register all population under the scheme for maximum benefit to the people who have struggled all the years to get treatment which was unaffordable to majority of them.

The Government has directed for 100 percent coverage of the scheme this year. Mass awareness campaigns have been launched by the administration through various mediums including TV, radio and print, as well as social media to aware maximum people about this scheme and improve overall health scenario of the UT.

State Health Agency Jammu and Kashmir(SHA-J&K) has initiated a door-to-door campaign to achieve the 100 percent target under the scheme. The administration has established facilities at various places to issue golden cards. Various departments have drawn a strategy to reach out to drivers, vendors, orphanages, and mandis and register them under the scheme. A special walk-in drive was also organised for shikara owners and their families.

The Government of India has selected the Sher-e-Kashmir Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura as a starting point for the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Project (ABDM) in J&K, the rollout of which was approved by the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.

Pertinently, Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) SEHAT scheme was launched in the year 2020 with an aim to extend health insurance coverage to all residents of Jammu and Kashmir UT.

It provides free of cost insurance cover to all the residents of the UT of J&K and also provides financial cover up to Rs.5 Lakh per family on a floater basis to all residents of the UT of J&K.

Ahead of Amarnath Ji Yatra: Traffic police city Jammu launches drive against wrongly parked vehicles.

Jammu, 22 JUNE 2022:
Ahead of Amarnath ji Yatra, Traffic police city Jammu launches special drive to free the roads from wrongly parked vehicles in north city Jammu under directions from Sh Vivek Gupta IPS, DIG traffic Jammu range and Dr Koshal Sharma JKPS, SSP traffic police city Jammu.

The team comprised of Ms Farah Nishat DySP traffic city north along with DTI Bus stand Inspr Charanjeet Singh, DTI Residency road Inspr Rakesh Kumar, SO Ghandarv Chand and other traffic police officials.

Wrong parking Notice challans/ stickers were pasted on wrongly parked vehicles causing obstruction to free flow of traffic at Residency road, Indira chowk, BC road, JP chowk etc.

Moreover, members of business community and people residing were requested to park their vehicles at specified parking slots and don't cause obstruction to free flow of traffic on busy roads, which can results inconvenience to tourists/pilgrims and people living in the adjoining areas.

Today along with challaning, public was also made aware about the consequences of wrong parking ahead of annually Amarnath ji yatra.

Shopkeepers and people living in nearby localities were happy about this drive & thanked traffic Police and administration for carrying such drives.

SSP Traffic city Jammu reviews Traffic arrangements for Amarnath Ji Yatra

JAMMU, Jun 21:
Dr Koshal Sharma SSP traffic city Jammu, today chaired a meeting of all the officers of traffic city Jammu to discuss the arrangements for smooth conduct of annual yatra of Shri Amarnath Ji which will begin on last week of this month 2022.

The meeting among others was attended by Sh Raj Pal Singh Addl.SP traffic, Ms Farah Nishat DySP(T) City North, Sh Bikram Kumar DySP(T) City South, Sh Javed Naaz I/c DySP (T) rural city, Sh Vishal Manhas DySP, Sh Kuldeep Raj DySP, I/c Traffic control unit(TCU) Inspr Lekh Raj, all DTI's and all incharges of different sections of traffic police city Jammu.

Addressing the Officers, SSP traffic directed all Officers, both jurisdictional and those deployed for the Yatra from Kunjwani to Jhajjar Kotli to ensure personal supervision and regularly brief traffic officials from time to time for a smooth and incident free Yatra.

Dr Koshal Sharma said that the regulations of Traffic on all the roads used by the yatri's from your Jurisdiction be managed effectively in order to avoid the congestions on the roads and delay in the movements of Yatra convoys. SSP Traffic impressed upon all officers to ensure no overcharging of fares from tourists.

SSP traffic stressed that facilitation of Yatri's is top priority of traffic police city Jammu and added that Kunjwani is the gateway of city Jammu for the Yatri's and every efforts should be to make their journey comfortable.

Earlier, SSP traffic took the suggestions of all the DySP's and DTI's for providing better traffic arrangements to the yatri's. All the Officers assured for the successful conduct of the Yatra regarding Traffic.

Salal Power Station issues advisory amid rising water level in Chenab River

REASI, JUNE 18: Salal Power Station has issued advisory amid increasing water level of Chenab River.

NHPC Salal Power Station (690 MW) in district Reasi has advised the people not to venture near the Chenab as its water level is constantly increasing due to changing weather (summer and monsoon season).

“The Chenab river water level in the upstream and downstream areas of the reservoir & river can increase or decrease at any point of time during the month of June 2022 to October 2022, which is likely to cause unexpected high flow of water in the river. The general public and local residents are requested to remain cautious & careful and not to camp or visit river Chenab front and also keep the livestock away from the river banks and do not try to cross the river from any unprotected places or mediums so as to avoid the risk of loss of life or property” an advisory stated.

The NHPC Salal Power Station Management has further requested everyone to remain vigilant and safe while paying special attention to the sound of "sirens" as a warning before releasing the water from the Dam and also requested to follow the instructions written on the "Warning" board installed at various places by Salal Power Station.

It is also noteworthy that if there is any loss of life or property in this context, then NHPC Salal Power Station Management shall not be held responsible.
