*District President of General Line Teachers Meets CEO Poonch to Discuss Key Teacher Issues*

Today, the District President of the General Line Teachers Association met with the Chief Education Officer (CEO) of Poonch, Mr. Iftikhar Ali Kazmi, to discuss a number of pressing issues concerning teachers.

One of the main points of discussion was the transfer of some teachers, particularly regarding the Annual Transfer Drive (ATD). Emphasis was laid on the need to release the ATD list as soon as possible, as many teachers have been suffering due to the lack of transfers for the past ten years. The District President strongly stressed that the prepared ATD list should be made public immediately to reduce the hardships faced by these teachers.

Another important issue discussed was related to institutions in the Balakote Zone, where the absence of Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) powers has led to many employees, particularly teachers, not receiving their salaries. The CEO assured that DDO powers will be granted to those areas promptly so that salary-related issues can be resolved and the suffering of employees can be minimized.

The matter of teacher attachments was also raised. Many teachers whose schools have been closed were transferred to other schools on a need-based basis. However, if they are sent back to their original schools, those institutions may lack sufficient staff and the teachers might not be utilized effectively. Therefore, it was proposed that those teachers should be retained at the institutions where they are currently serving and are genuinely needed.

In conclusion, multiple issues affecting district-level teachers were discussed in detail during this important meeting between the District President, Dr. Syed Nusrat Hussain Shah, and the CEO at the CEO office.
