*02 Most Notorious drug peddlers arrested with he**in by Udhampur Police*

Police team from Police Station Udhampur led by its SHO while performing routine patrolling duty at Battal Ballian- Londana road stopped one vehicle (car) bearing registration number JK14J-4703 for checking purposes.

Upon conducting a thorough frisking of the driver and co-driver, police team recovered 12.20 grams of he**in (chitta) like Contraband substance from their possession .

The arrested individuals have been identified as :-

1) Tarun Sharma S/O Des Raj R/O Near CEO office Dandyal.(6.20 grams)

2) Sushant Singh S/O Ramesh Singh R/O Near Triloki Nath Mandir Barrian, Udhampur. (6 grams)
On this, a case vide FIR No. 257/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered in P/S Udhampur and further investigation was set into probe.

*Drug Peddler Nabbed with charas like Narcotics Substance at Ramnagar by Udhampur Police*

Police team from Police Station Ramnagar led by its SHO while performing routine vehicle checking duty at Gurlang bridge on Dalsar road stopped one bike bearing registration number JK14F-6046 for checking purposes.

Upon conducting a thorough frisking of the rider, police team recovered 32 grams of charas like Contraband substance from his possession .

The arrested individual has been identified as Rajesh Gupta S/O Sh. Sudarshan Kumar R/O W.No. 02 Chigli Chori, Ramnagar.
On this, a case vide FIR No. 115/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act stands registered at P/S Ramnagar and further investigation was set into probe.

*Udhampur Police Attaches Another property of Bovine Smuggler, worth lakhs*

Continuing its tough stance against bovine smuggling, Udhampur Police has attached one more vehicle (Mahindra Bolero Pick-Up) bearing registration number JK02CR-6093, valued at ₹10 lakhs linked to bovine smuggling case.

The vehicle was involved in FIR No. 96/2025, registered under Sections 223 BNS and 11 PCA Act at Police Station Rehambal. During the course of investigation, it was found that the vehicle was being used in bovine smuggling and was deemed to be a proceed of crime. Acting on this, the property was attached under Section 107 BNSS following due court orders from the Hon'ble Addl. Special Mobile Magistrate, Udhampur.

*Udhampur Police Busts Inter-State Gold Fraud; Accused Arrested Within 24 Hours*

On 14/07/2025, PS Majalta received a complaint from Smt. Bandana Rajput R/O Majalta, alleging that an unknown person posing as a gas stove repairman duped her by offering to clean her gold ornaments using chemicals, causing loss in weight.

Acting swiftly, FIR No. 59/2025 U/S 316(2), 318(2), 318(4), 324(4) BNS was registered at PS Majalta and investigation was taken up. During the course of investigation the police team of PS Majalta led by SHO Majalta arrested the accused namely Subodh Sah R/O Bhagalpur Bihar within 24 hours.

Investigation revealed his modus operandi involved extracting gold content by dissolving it chemically while pretending to clean it causing loss in weight and secretly extracting the dissolved gold for himself.

He is suspected to be part of an inter-state gang. Further investigation is underway.

Udhampur Police advises the general public to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.

*Udhampur Police book another Notorious bovine smuggler under Public Safety Act (PSA) to curb illegal trade*

In a significant move to curb criminal activities in the District, Udhampur Police have booked and detained Mohd. Saleem S/O Hashim Din R/O Baishty Tehsil Chenani a habitual bovine smuggler under the J&K Public Safety Act (PSA). The detention order was issued by the District Magistrate Udhampur.

Mohd. Saleem has been involved in several bovine smuggling cases registered in the district. Despite multiple FIRs and previous arrests, he continued his illegal activities, posing a serious threat to public peace. Consequently, he has been booked under the PSA and lodged in jail.
His persistent criminal behavior has disrupted the peaceful atmosphere of the region, prompting the authorities to take strict action under the Public Safety Act.

*UDHAMPUR POLICE ATTACHES MOVABLE PROPERTY WORTH LACS OF NOTORIOUS BOVINE SMUGGLER UNDER NEW CRIMINAL LAWS*

As a part of its relentless effort against bovine smuggling in the district, Udhampur Police has attached a vehicle bearing Regd. No. JK02DA-8994 worth Rs. 10 lakhs owned by habitual Bovine smuggler namely Murad Ali S/O Nek Alam R/O Kadyal, R.S Pura, Jammu.

The case pertains to FIR No. 92/2025, registered under Section 223 BNS U/S 11 PCA Act of PS Rehambal. During the investigation of the case,the movable property was identified as proceeds of crime and was thus attached under section 107 BNSS after obtaining orders from competent court.

ऊधमपुर ज़िला की रामनगर तहसील के दूर दराज इलाके बसन्तगड़ में जन्मे पहलवान बिनिया अमीन पहलवान द्वारा अमेरिका में आयोजित हुई वर्ल्ड पुलिस एन्ड फायर गेम्स चैंपियनशिप में गोल्ड मेडल जीतने पर ऊधमपुर में बॉलीबॉल के राष्ट्रीय खिलाड़ी व खेलों और खिलाड़ियों को बढ़ावा देने वाले स्वर्ण सिंह राठौर व ऊधमपुर के गणमान्य नागरिकों द्वारा स्वर्ण सिंह के जखैनी स्तिथ कार्यलय में भव्य स्वागत व अभिनंदन किया गया।इस अवसर पर बिनिया अमीन पहलवान को माता की चुन्नियों व फूलमालाएं पहनाकर सम्मानित किया व एक स्मृति चिन्ह भी भेंट किया गया।इस अवसर पर मीडिया को सम्बोधित करते हुए बिनिया अमीन पहलवान ने अपने पहलवानी के सफर पर बोलते हुए कहा कि लगभग बीस साल से वह पहलवानी कर रहें हैं और वह जम्मू कश्मीर पुलिस में कांस्टेबल के पद पर नियुक्त है। बिनिया ने बताया कि ऊधमपुर में और देश के अन्य हिस्सों में लड़े कुश्ती की कई प्रतियोगितायों में मिले कड़े मुकाबलों के कारण ही आज वह यह मुकाम हासिल कर पाए हैं।बिनिया ने बताया कि उन्हें आगे बढ़ने के लिए स्वर्ण सिंह राठौर का हर कदम पर भरपूर सहयोग मिला जिसके लिए ईवह स्वर्ण सिंह का आभार प्रकट करते हैं।
