Sh. Shiv Kumar- IPS, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range Attended Cultural Event, Promoting Women Safety and Drug Awareness
On the occasion of Motherโ€™s Day,
Udhampur | 10 May 2026 JCM Group, Udhampur organized a vibrant Cultural Event-cum-Drug Awareness Programme aimed at celebrating the spirit of motherhood while spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse among youth. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from children of various age groups, who showcased their talent and creativity through a series of cultural performances.
The initiative effectively combined cultural activities with social awareness, creating an engaging platform to educate young minds on important societal issues.
Shri Shiv Kumar Sharma, IPS, DIG Udhampur-Reasi Range, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest special guest adv. Suhani Vishal katoch and guest of honour vishal chopra ji addressed the gathering comprising children, parents and members of the public. In his address, the DIG emphasized the importance of building a drug-free society and highlighted the crucial role of families and communities in preventing substance abuse. He urged parents to maintain open communication with their children, guide them positively and foster an environment that promotes healthy and responsible choices.
The DIG also appreciated the efforts of the organizers for conducting such a meaningful programme that successfully blended entertainment with awareness and social responsibility.
The event concluded with the distribution of awards and recognition among participants. The programme reinforced the message that ensuring a safe, aware and drug-free society is a collective responsibility. Such initiatives reflect the continued commitment of civic organizations and law enforcement agencies in Udhampur towards promoting positive societal values and encouraging youth participation in constructive activities.

*Surankote Administration Organises Anti-Drug Bike Rally Under 100 Days Nasha Mukt Abhiyan*

As part of the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, a Bike and Cycle Rally was successfully organised today at the Tehsil level in Surankote to spread awareness against drug abuse and encourage youth to adopt a healthy and drug-free lifestyle.

The rally commenced at 09:00 AM sharp from the Tehsil Office, Surankote and concluded at Potha Bypass. A large number of officials, youth, volunteers, and local residents participated enthusiastically in the awareness drive carrying the strong message โ€” โ€œSay No to Drugs.โ€

The programme was held in the presence of senior officers including *ADC Poonch Tahir Mustafa Malik* *SDM Surankote Farooq Khan Nazaki* *SDPO Surankote Surinder Singh* *SHO Surankote Abid Bukhari* and *Naib Tehsildar Surankote* *Rajinder Kumar*along with several other officers and officials from different departments.

Addressing the participants, the officers stressed the importance of collective efforts in eliminating the menace of drugs from society. They urged the youth to stay away from narcotics and become ambassadors of awareness in their communities.

The rally witnessed energetic participation and reflected the strong commitment of the administration and police towards building a drug-free society under the Nasha Mukt Bharat initiative.
