Satish chaired monthly meeting of block Congress committee khour.
Monthly meeting of block Congress committee khour was held at village dhallan of tehsil khour under the leadership of Senior Congress leader Satish Sharma. The agenda of the meeting was to discuss the burning political and social issues of the area. A large number of congress workers from khour participated in the meeting and shared their views. Speaking on the issue Satish sharma urged the party workers to do every possible thing to help the public on your own level and also help people in getting their works done in govt. offices. He said that it is our duty to raise strong voice against the unethical works being done by bjp led UT administration. He said that the govt. is working in favour of their corporate friends and against the aspirations of the general public. He said that the adamant attitude of administration to crush the poor people is clear indication that they do not care about what are the needs of public. The recent acts of cancellation of all pending recruitments before 2019, issue of border battalion recruitment, plight of bsf cisf aspirants, daily wagers issues ,NHM employees are fresh examples which shows that the bjp led UT administration has adopted a dictatorial approach and is no longer concerned with the public welfare. He added that we the people sitting in opposition are duty bound to fight for the rights of the people and save them from this draconian rule. Speaking on the issue of delimitation he said that our team has met with the members of the delimitation commission and have appriced them about the problems which the people will have to face if the interim draft of the report is finalized. He said that adding chowkichoura and maira mandrian to khour constituency and Pragwal to the akhnoor constituency is matter of grave injustice with the people of these areas. He said that we have demanded not to change the geographical areas of khour and Akhnoor constituency and keep them in the existing form. He said the entire excercise of delimitation has been done just to give political mileage to bjp and not for the betterment of public. Speaking on the occasion BDC chairman (block samwan) Parveen Kumar said that merging of ALC quota with IB was a planned conspiracy of bjp to deprive the youth of chhamb constituency from their rightful employment process. He said that people of khour area were the only beneficiaries of ALC quota in district jammu and this merger was done only to harm the people of khour. He demanded that the govt. should immediately restore separate ALC quota and stop playing this dirty politics. He further said that govt. has forgotten its own promise of giving 30 lakh rupees per family to the western pojk and is trying to settle the matter by just giving 5 lakhs. He warned the govt. not to deceive people by doing such acts. District vice president jkpcc Prem singh said that the meeting of delimitation commission with the general public was nothing but just a drama. He said everything was planned. They were only allowing selected people to speak and were ignoring the leaders from the opposition parties. He said that whatever the result of delimitation is congress party is going to fight unitedly in the upcoming elections and will form the next govt. Other prominent persons present in the meeting were rano devi,geetan singh,vijay kumar,Som nath Pawan kr,darshan lal sarpanch tarsem lal,vijay singh sarpanch,subash sh,vikram singh,manhas,Kuldeep Singh,mannu sharma, Surinder sng,sehdev singh,Pawan kumar and others.
