Sports Day Celebration at Impression World Pre School

On Wednesday, 12th February 2025, Impression World Pre School, Sainik Colony, Jammu, celebrated its annual Sports Day with great enthusiasm and energy. Every year, the school adopts an innovative and creative theme for the event, and this year’s theme, "Race at Your Own Pace," carried a powerful message about recognizing and embracing everyone’s unique potential. The races were thoughtfully designed to enhance essential developmental skills, including gross motor skills, fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, bilateral coordination, and balancing.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Mr. Khalid Jahangir, MD JKTPO, along with Guest of Honor Mr. Rajat Vohra, Bureau Head of Zee News J&K, and Mr. Umesh Rekhi, General Secretary of J&K Karate Federation of India. They were warmly welcomed and felicitated by the Principal, Mrs. Shivani Sharma.
In his address, Mr. Khalid Jahangir applauded the school’s efforts in nurturing young minds and emphasized the crucial role of preschools in laying a strong foundation for children’s growth and learning. Mr. Rajat Vohra also shared his appreciation for the significance of sports in a child’s development.
The event witnessed active participation from students of Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Junior KG, and Senior KG, who showcased their enthusiasm and discipline while competing in various races. Parents, too, joined in the fun with specially organized races such as "Mom and Me," "My Daddy Strongest," and the "Three-Legged Race." Their participation and encouragement added to the vibrant atmosphere of the day.
Winners among both children and parents were honored with mementos and medals, recognizing their sportsmanship and effort. The dedicated team of Impression World Pre School ensured smooth ex*****on of the event, making it a delightful and hiccup-free experience for all.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt thank-you note by Principal Mrs. Shivani Sharma, followed by the rendition of the Indian National Anthem, marking the end of a memorable and inspiring day.

**Sominder Koul Honored with Waqf Award of Excellence by Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi**
**Jammu, January 26, 2025**

Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board, unfurled the Tricolour during the Republic Day celebrations at the Waqf Complex, Rail Head, Jammu. The event was marked by patriotic fervor and recognition of excellence in various fields.

During the ceremony, Dr. Andrabi presented the prestigious *Waqf Award of Excellence 2024* to Sominder Koul, a distinguished journalist, for his outstanding contributions to the field of journalism. The award ceremony was part of the Waqf Board’s initiative to acknowledge individuals excelling in their respective domains.

Dr. Andrabi, in her address, highlighted the transformative initiatives of the Waqf Board over the past 33 months, focusing on the development of new infrastructure and facilities at Sufi shrines across Jammu and Kashmir. *New Era Environmental* *High School holds prize distribution function.*
A prize distribution function to honour the students of class 10th session 2023-2024 , who excelled in their board examination,was held in New Era Environmental High School, Circular Road Jammu.Zulfkar Ali Choudhary,Ex -Minister J and K Government, senior leader ,BJP, was the Chief Guest.A cultural event marked the celebrations. Meenakshi Devi who got 98.2% in her exam was given a cash prize along with a trophy. It is pertinent to mention that Meenakshi Devi credited her success to the school as she was the student of this school since nursery and never depended on any other source than school,for her studies.Other students namely,Laksh Bhagat, Shalini Sharma,Ayush Kumar,Tanvi Mahajan,Govind Kapoor ,who excelled by scoring high A1 grades were also awarded. The teachers Pankaj Gandotra, Seema Mahajan and Shalini Bhandari were also awarded for their efforts to bring out the best results. Also the present batch of class 10th were given farewell .
While addressing the gathering, the chief guest, Zulfkar Ali Chaudhary, congratulated the management and the staff of the school for their tireless efforts towards the upliftment of society by providing quality education . He said that this outstanding performance of the students is a testament to the school's exceptional teaching standards, supportive environment and effective leadership.

Arjun Gupta, a student of class 6th, of New Era Environmental High School, Circular Road, Jammu, clinched 1st Prize in Science Concept Clearing Competition organised by S. D. Tarapuri High School under the aegis of Youth Talent Search, A Forum of Schools. Students from 10 different School s participated in the competition. His topic was Light, Shadows and Reflection.
He prepared his topic under the able supervision of Ms. Priyanka Jamwal.
Priyanka has been clinching First Prize for three consecutive years.
