Airtel’s fight against fraud reduces financial losses for its customers by nearly 70%
Data from Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center shows remarkable impact
Jammu, 16 September 2025: Bharti Airtel today announced that its anti-fraud initiatives have resulted in a significant decline in cybercrime complaints, and that this has been further endorsed by recent information from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) — Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
According to the MHA-I4C, there has been a staggering 68.7% decrease in the value of financial losses and a 14.3% drop in overall cybercrime incidents on the Airtel network, thereby validating the efficacy of Airtel’s fraud detection solutionin curbing cybercrime and creating a safe network for its customers.The data analyzed by MHA-I4C compares key cybercrime indicators from September 2024—prior to the launch ofAirtel’s Fraud & spam detection solution—with those from June 2025.
Commenting on the initiative, Gopal Vittal, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Bharti Airtel, said, “We are on a mission ofeliminating Spam and financial frauds for our customers.In the past one year, our AI-powered network solutions have identified over 48.3 billion spam calls and blocked 3.2 lakhs fraudulent links. However,we see this as small steps in a much larger fight. We will continue to innovate and invest heavily in this area until our networks are free of digital spam and scam.”

In September 2024, in a pioneering move to curb the country’s spam menace, the company launched India’s first network-based AI-powered Spam detection solution. It went a significant way towards solving the growing menace of spam calls and messages. The solution remains a first-of-its-kind solution by a telecom service provider in the country, to alert customers in real-time to all suspected spam calls and SMSes. In continuation to this, in May 2025 the company unveiled world’s first, solution that detects and blocks malicious links across all forms of communication on its network, in real time. This safe service has been seamlessly integrated with, and auto-enabled for all Airtel mobile and broadband customers at no additional cost. The findings of the I4C analysis highlight the effectiveness of these proactive measures by Airtel for its customers.

The average assets under management (AAUM) in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh is ₹10,844 crore as of June 2025 which still accounts for less than ~0.14% of India’s total mutual fund assets. In contrast, India’s overall mutual fund AAUM reached an impressive ₹74.80 lakh crore as of June 2025. Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, General Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association, under the guidance of Anil Gupta, President of the Association, has taken significant responsibility for promoting the game of Kabaddi across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He is also committed to enhancing the standard of officiating within the region.

Dr. Gupta, who also serves as the Technical Director of the Asian Kabaddi Federation, is set to organize a UT-Level Kabaddi Referee Course from 28th to 31st July 2025 at Srinagar, Kashmir. Around 100 officials are expected to participate in this course.
The training sessions will be conducted by expert technical officials and most popular Mr. Rana Ranjeet Singh from Bihar and Ms. Dhanashree from Maharashtra, who will share their knowledge and experience to improve the skills of local referees.

In his efforts to uplift the standard of officiating, Dr. Gupta has also approached the Director General, Youth Services and Sports, requesting the deputation of officials from the department to take part in the course. This initiative is expected to greatly benefit officiating not only at the UT level but also at the national level, including departmental tournaments, private competitions, and All India Police Meets held across various stages.

The participating officials expressed their sincere gratitude to Dr. Kuldeep Kumar Gupta and Anil Gupta for this commendable initiative. They acknowledged that the Referee Course will play a vital role in the professional development of Kabaddi officials in Jammu and Kashmir.

*Jammu, July 28, 2025:* Nxtra by Airtel and AMPIN Energy Transition have strengthened their partnership with a new,power-wheeling agreement involving 125.65 MW of solar-wind hybrid energy through Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) connected plants. With this, the total renewable energy partnership between the two companies hascrossed over 200 MW. This will maximiseNxtra’s infrastructural efficiency, drive deeper decarbonisation and advance operational excellence—reinforcing Nxtra’s position as India’s leader in sustainable data centre solutions.

The additional capacity will be delivered to Nxtrain two phases, each through captive solar-wind power projects in Rajasthan and Karnataka, respectively. AMPIN has been supplying solar power to Nxtrathrough intra-state, open access in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Odisha. With this new agreement, AMPIN will add 11 new states as well asnew technologies such aslarge-scale ISTS renewable energy supply and the seamless supply of renewable energy from a single Independent Power Producer (IPP).

ZNS NIST ACADEMY Opens Its New Branch in Kathua, J&K

Kathua-ZNS NIST ACADEMY, a premier institute in the fields of Fashion Designing and Beauty Education, proudly announced the grand opening of its fifth branch in Kathua. Jammu & Kashmir. With successful campuses already thriving in Gandhinagar, Udhampur, Bari Brahmana, and Akhnoor, ZNS NIST continues its mission to empower youth with skill-based education and entrepreneurial opportunities.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. Bharat Bhushan, Hon'ble MLA Kathua, and Mr. Sohail Kazmi, Senior Journalist, who served as Chief Guests. Both dignitaries extended their heartfelt congratulations to the founders Mr. Shabir Malik and Mrs. Nusrat Malik for their outstanding contribution to the education and empowerment of youth in the region.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan emphasized the critical need for skill-based education in today's era, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. "Institutes like ZNS NIST are the need of the hour.
