Shahrukh Bhatti today visited the landslide-affected area of Sanasar along with Naib Sarpanch Rasheed Ji, Abdul Rashid, Om Prakash, Nazir Ahmed, Bittu Singh, and Mohan Lal to assess the extent of the damage caused. During the visit, he took firsthand details of the situation and immediately briefed DPAP Chief, Hon’ble Ghulam Nabi Azad Sahib, regarding the losses suffered by the local residents.

Hon’ble Ghulam Nabi Azad Sahib assured that he will personally take up the matter with the Chief Secretary for immediate relief measures to the affected people.

Shahrukh Bhatti urged the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of J&K, the Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary, and the District Administration to promptly initiate protective works in risky areas and clear the blocked drains on the Nashri–Sanasar road to prevent further damage.

He further demanded that adequate compensation be provided to all affected families from SDRF funds, and stressed that substantial compensation should be sanctioned to enable the repair of damaged houses. Shahrukh Bhatti also requested the Executive Engineer, JPDCL, to prioritize the restoration of damaged electric lines and poles in the region to restore normalcy at the earliest
