**APPROX 10 LITRES OF ILLICIT LIQUOR(DESI) RECOVERED BY PP CHADWAL; 01 HELD*

PRESS RELEASE;

KATHUA; 25 OCT:- J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma- IPS* recovered approx. 10 litres of Illicit liquor (Desi) and one person got arrested at Tanda near KDB Brick Klin PP Chadwal area.

On 24/10/2025 A Police team of PP Chadwal led by IC PP Chadwal PSI Shubam Sharma under the guidance of SDPO Border Sh. Dheeraj Katoch &
SHO PS Rajbagh Insp. Ajay Singh Chib established naka for checking of vehicles at Tanda, near KDB Brick Klin area. During the checking police team was able to recover approx. 10 litres of illicit liquor(Desi) from the possession of one person who was indulged in doing illegal trade of selling illicit liquor(Desi) among the locals in order to get wrongful gain. While further questioning he disclosed his name as Avtar Singh S/o Chajja Singh R/o Tanda Tehsil Marheen Distt.Kathua.Thereafter all the recovered consignment of approx. 10 litres illicit liquor(desi) got seized and one person arrested on spot.
In this regard a case FIR No. 197/2025 U/S 48 (a) Excise Act stands registered at this P/S Rajbagh, further investigation is underway.
