must visit once. Khijadia Bird Sanctuary

Khijadia Bird Sanctuary,[13] located 10 km north east of Jamnagar, represents the combination of seasonal freshwater shallow lake, inter-tidal mudflats, creeks, saltpans, saline land and mangrove scrub. The place is a known breeding ground of the Great Crested Grebe. Apart from it, Little Grebe, Purple Moorhen, Coot, Black-winged Stilt and Pheasant-tailed Jacana are also recorded breeding here. Raptors, including harriers, eagles, hawks and falcons are also spotted here. The sanctuary also shelters migratory birds such as swallows, martins, wagtails and various waterfowls. It is considered as an important site for ecological research and education. Marine National Park
India's first marine sanctuary,[14] has various parts where one can visit: one of them is Pirotan island which is about 16 nautical miles (30 km) away in the Arabian Sea near Jamnagar and spreads over an area of about 458 km2. The Marine National Park & Sanctuary comprises an archipelago of 42 islands noted for their coral reefs and mangroves. It is possible to see dolphins, fin-less porpoises and sea turtles and a variety of colorful tropical fish. The place is very beautiful. The entire forest has various marine life forms. The area also attracts a huge number of birds. Rozi and Bedi Ports

Rozi and Bedi are two important ports close to Jamnagar. Rozi Port on the shore of the Gulf of Kutch and Bedi Port two nautical miles (4 km) inland on the Rangamati River. These attractive waterside picnic spots offer excellent facilities for fishing and angling. Cremation Park

Cremation park is situated 10 minutes north of the city centre. The park holds statues of saints and deities, as well as scenes from the Ramayana. This is an interesting place to visit. The circle of life showing the stages in life of man is also thought to be evoking.

પટના-ઈન્દોર એક્સપ્રેસના 14 ડબ્બા પાટા ઉપરથી ઉતરી પડ્યાઃ 100થી વધુના મોત નવી દિલ્લી, તા. 20 નવેમ્બર 2016, રવિવાર

કાનપુરમાં રવિવારે સવારે ત્રણ વાગે પટના-ઇન્દોર એક્સપ્રેસના 14 ડબ્બા પાટા પરથી નીચે ઉતરી ગયા હતા. આ રેલ દુર્ઘટનામાં 100થી વધુ લોકોએ પોતાના જીવ ગુમાવ્યા છે. અને 150થી વધુ ઘાયલ થયા છે.

ટ્રેન પાટા ઉપરથી ખડી પડતા આ અકસ્માત સર્જાયો હતો. આ દુર્ઘટનામાં ઘણા લોકોની જાનમાલની આશંકા વ્યક્ત કરવામાં આવી છે. અડધી રાતે અકસ્માત થયો હોવાને લીધે બચાવ કાર્યમાં બાધા આવતી હતી પરંતુ જેમ બને તેમ જલદી દુર્ઘટનાગ્રસ્ત લોકોને બચાવવા રેસ્કયુ ટીમ ઘટનાસ્થલે પહોંચી ગઈ હતી.

હાલમાં બચાવ કામગીરી થઇ રહી છે. આ અકસ્માતમાં S-1 અને S-2 ડબ્બાને વધુ નુક્સાન થયુ હોવાનું જાણવા મળે છે. દુર્ઘટનામાં 100 લોકોના મોત થયા છે.

રેલવેના પ્રવક્તા અનિલ સક્સેનાએ જણાવ્યું હતું કે, "ઇન્દોર પટના એક્સપ્રેસ 19321 નંબરની ટ્રેનની 14 ડબ્બા પાટા પરથી ઉતરી ગયા છે." આ ઘટના કાનપુર એક ગામડા પાસે પુખરાયાં રેલવે સ્ટેશન નજીક ઘટી છે. સક્સેનાના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર વરિષ્ઠ અધિકારીઓ અને મેડિકલ ટીમ ઘટનસ્થળએ જવા માટે રવાના થઇ ગઇ છે. રેલવે જિલ્લી અધિકારીઓના સંપર્કમાં છે.

રેલવેપ્રધાન સુરેશ પ્રભુ અને ગૃહપ્રધાન રાજનાથસિંહ સહિતના લોકો આ દુર્ઘટનાને લીધે હરકતમાં આવી ગયા છે અને આવી બેદરકારી કેમ કરવામાં આવી તે અંગેની તપાસના ઓર્ડર આપવામાં આવ્યા છે.

દોષિત ઠરેલા નેતાઓને ચૂંટણી લડવા પર આજીવન પ્રતિબંધ અંગે સુપ્રિમકોર્ટમાં સુનાવણી
નવી દિલ્હી તા. ૧પઃ રાજનીતિનું અપરાધિકરણ થતું અટકાવવા સુપ્રિમ કોર્ટમાં એક સુનાવણી દરમિયાન કેન્દ્ર સરકાર અને ચૂંટણી પંચને નોટીસ પાઠવીને દોષિત ઠરેલા નેતાઓ પર આજીવન પ્રતિબંધ મૂકવા અંગે જવાબ માંગવામાં આવ્યો છે.
જે પ્રકારે કાર્યપાલિકા અને ન્યાય પાલિકામાં દોષિત ઠરેલા અપરાધીઓના પ્રવેશ પર પ્રતિબંધ છે, એ જ પ્રકારે આવા લોકોને ચૂંટણી લડવા પર આજીવન પ્રતિબંધ મૂકવાની માંગણી કરતી જનહિત અરજી પર સુપ્રિમ કોર્ટે કેન્દ્ર અને ચૂંટણી પંચ પાસે જવાબ માંગ્યો છે.
સુપ્રિમ કોર્ટમાં જસ્ટીસ રંજન ગોગોઈ અને પી.સી. પંતની પીઠે અરજી પર સરકાર અને ચૂંટણી પંચને નોટીસ પાઠવી હતી. આ અરજીમાં ચૂંટણી લડવા માટે ન્યુનત્તમ શૈક્ષણિક લાયકાત અને વધુમાં વધુ વય મર્યાદા નક્કી કરવાનો નિર્દેશ આપવાની માંગણી કરવામાં આવી છે. આમા આવા લોકોને રાજકીય પક્ષ બનાવવા તથા કોઈ પક્ષમાં પદાધિકારી બનાવવા ઉપર પ્રતિબંધ મુકવાની માંગણી કરવામાં આવી છે. હાલના કાનૂનમાં દોષિતોને છ વર્ષ સુધી ચૂંટણી નહીં લડવાની જોગવાઈ છે.
ફરિયાદીની અરજીમાં જણાવાયું છે કે, આતંકવાદ અને નક્સલવાદ ઉપરાંત ભ્રષ્ટાચાર અને રાજનીતિનું અપરાધિકરણ આપણા દેશની સૌથી મોટી સમસ્યા છે. કાર્યપાલિકા કે ન્યાય પાલિકામાં કોઈ વ્યક્તિ દોષિત ઠેરવાય તો તેને તરત જ સસ્પેન્ડ કરી દેવાય છે અને તેમની આજીવન સેવા પર રોક લગાવવામાં આવે છે. આ અરજીમાં જણાવાયું છે કે, ૩૪ ટકા સાંસદો સામે કેસ છે છતાં તેઓ કામકાજ કરી રહ્યા છે. આમાંથી રપ ટકા રેપ, મર્ડર, લૂંટ, ખંડણી જેવા ગુન્હામાં સંડોવાયેલ છે.
આ જનહિત અરજી દિલ્હી ભાજપના પ્રવક્તા અને વકીલ અશ્વિનીકુમાર ઉપાધ્યાયે દાખલ કરી છે. દેશમાં અપરાધીઓ સાંસદ કે ધારાસભ્ય બની જાય છે અને સરકારમાં મંત્રી કે પદાધિકારી પણ બની જતા હોય છે. આ પહેલા ૬ વર્ષ સુધી પ્રતિબંધ મૂકવાની જોગવાઈ પછી પણ આ પ્રવૃત્તિ અટકી નથી. તાજેતરમાં બિહારમાં ગેંગસ્ટર શાહબુદ્દીનને જામીન મળ્યા અને લાલુપ્રસાદ યાદવના ટેકાથી બિહારમાં જંગરાજ વાપસીની ચર્ચા ઊઠ્યા પછી આ અપરાધીઓ જો જામીન પર હોવા છતાં રાજકરણને આટલું પ્રભાવિત કરી શકતા હોય, તો તેઓ તેમની સજા પૂરી કર્યા પછી ફરીથી આતંક ફેલાવી શકે છે, તેવો અભિપ્રાય બંધાઈ રહ્યો છે. તો, પ્રવર્તમાન જોગવાઈઓ હેઠળ સજા પામેલા દોષિત નેતાઓ પણ સત્તાનું સુખ ભોગવી શકે તેવી છટકબારીઓ રહે છે. ભ્રષ્ટાચાર અને રાજનીતિના અપરાધીકરણને રોકવા માટે કડક કાનૂન જરૃરી છે અને આ માટે રાજકીય ઈચ્છાશક્તિનો અભાવ વર્તાય છે.
જો ચૂંટણી પંચ અને કેન્દ્ર સરકાર આ દિશામાં હકારાત્મક પ્રતિભાવ આપશે, તો સજા પામેલા નેતાઓને ચૂંટણી લડતા જ અટકાવી શકાશે. હાલના નિયમો મુજબ થયેલી સજાની લઘુત્તમ મર્યાદા છે, તે પણ નાબૂદ કરીને એક વખત સજા થઈ જાય તે પછી તેના ચૂંટણી લડવા પર પ્રતિબંધ લાગી જવો જોઈએ અને અપીલ કર્યા પછી જો તે નિર્દોષ છૂટે તો જ તેનો પ્રતિબંધ હટવો જોઈએ, તેવો અભિપ્રાય પણ વ્યક્ત થઈ રહ્યો છે.
સુપ્રિમ કોર્ટે નોટીસ આપ્યા પછી હવે આ મુદ્દો રાજકીય ક્ષેત્રે ગરમાઈ રહ્યો છે અને વિવિધ રાજકીય પક્ષોના પણ પ્રત્યાઘાતો આવી રહ્યા છે, ત્યારે સુપ્રિમ કોર્ટમાં કેન્દ્ર સરકાર અને ચૂંટણી પંચ શું જવાબ રજૂ કરશે, તેના પર સૌની મીટ મંડાયેલી છે.

I really hope that,from today's Emirates flight incident,many people have realised that cabin crews are there not just to serve you food and alcohol,to bring u blankets and get u all comfortable,to solve your endless complaints...To all those who told me that cabin crews are just waiters in the sky....I really wish that at least now u have come to realise that they aren't just waiters,but trained safety professionals who will be the only ones u can look upto,to save your lives wen u r sitting inside a burning metal tube wondering how to survive....they would risk their lives to save yours and this ,let me remind you,isn't everyone's cup of tea...
I salute all the cabin crews across the globe and a big shout out to all the crews involved in today's incident. you guys are superheroes in the sky!!!anybody who says otherwise should get a LIFE!!
