बिलकुल सही

Senior advocate Dushyant Dave has said that successive Chief Justices of India during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure “failed the country, the judicial system and justice.”

He made the remarks during an interview with Karan Thapar on The Wire in July 2025, where he sharply criticised the role of the Supreme Court’s leadership in recent years. Dave argued that the judiciary did not act firmly enough at crucial moments and fell short in protecting constitutional values.

The comments come amid continuing concerns raised by sections of the legal community about judicial independence and the handling of politically sensitive cases. Dave’s intervention adds to the broader debate on the accountability of top judicial offices in India.
