Mukhya Yatra—often referred to as Chandanwari Yatra—is a solemn and spiritually significant procession. It marks the beginning of the traditional Amarnath Yatra via the Pahalgam route. Pilgrims gather at Chandanwari to take part in this devotional journey carrying the sacred Chhari Mubarak (holy silver mace symbolizing Lord Shiva) which is ultimately installed at the Amarnath Cave sanctum on Shravan Purnima. It's an emblem of divine blessing and spiritual resolve along the Himalayan trail.
