Simon Makur Awan known by his stage name Makur Amaljok is an Afro artiste based in Warrap state. In past years he composed hits songs for almost six governors of Warrap state, three of Defunct Tonj state and three of Warrap state that starts with Bona Panek Biar, Aleu Ayieny Aleu and the current governor Manhiem Bol Malek.

He releases also peace songs like Door ke Nhier, and many more. Recently, he have been quiet for good months without any new music in the street.
Amaljok assures his fans and people of South Sudan at large and Warrap state particularly that he will be releasing some musics before the end of this month.
