I used to think communication was the skill that could take me anywhere.
And honestly, it did open doors.
It helped me get opportunities, clients, and even jobs.
But eventually, I realized something uncomfortable:
Getting into the room is one thing.
Being good enough to stay there is another.
I had the confidence to talk about what I could do…
but I didn’t always have the skills to back it up.
So I stopped trying to look capable.
And started becoming capable.
As a solopreneur, I began learning whatever the work demanded — video editing, design, meta ads, websites, and everything in between.
Because communication can open the door.
But your skills decide whether you deserve to stay in the room.
