Seven-Year-Old Girl Battles Brain Tumor, Family Appeals for Help❗

Hasimara, Bharnobari TG Sept 13:
A heart-rending appeal has emerged from Hasimara, Alipurduar district, where the parents of seven-year-old Twinkal Kujur are seeking urgent financial support for her life-saving surgery.❗

Medical reports have confirmed that Twinkal is suffering from a brain tumor, and doctors have advised an immediate operation. However, the cost of the surgery is far beyond the family’s limited means.❗

Her father, Rajen Kujur, and mother, Rahima Dhanwar, have exhausted all available resources but remain unable to meet the high medical expenses. In their appeal, they have urged kind-hearted individuals and organizations to extend financial support to save their daughter’s life.❗

Cyber Fraud Victim Gets ₹41,000 Refunded After Jaigaon Police Action❗

Jaigaon, March 11: A swift move by Jaigaon Police helped a cyber fraud victim recover a major portion of her defrauded money.❗

Complainant Ipsa Mishra of Jaigaon reported through the NCRP portal that she was cheated of ₹50,000 on March 4 after clicking on a fake franchise link found on Google. The fraudsters issued her a false approval letter and demanded payment through a given bank account and mobile number.❗

On receiving the complaint, the Cyber Cell of Jaigaon Police promptly traced the transaction and froze ₹41,000 in the fraudster’s account. After completing necessary legal formalities, including a court order, the amount was successfully refunded to the victim’s account.❗

Police have cautioned citizens to remain vigilant while searching for online business opportunities and to avoid making payments without proper verification.‼️

सिक्किम विश्वविद्यालयले गोर्खा जातिको मातृभाषा लाई विदेशी भाषा भने विद्यार्थीको भर्ना रद्द गर्‍यो

गान्तोक, २१ अगस्ट २०२५: सिक्किम विश्वविद्यालयले पहिलो सेमेष्टरका वाणिज्य विभागका विद्यार्थी श्री राज शेखर यादवको अस्थायी भर्ना गम्भीर अनुशासनहीनता र आचरण उल्लंघन गरेको भन्दै रद्द गरेको छ।

अधिकृत आदेश (अफिस अर्डर नं. २३१/२०२५) अनुसार यो कारबाही वाणिज्य शाखाका प्राध्यापकहरू र सिक्किम विश्वविद्यालय विद्यार्थी संघ (SUSA) द्वारा दर्ता गरिएको उजुरीपछि गरिएको हो। ओर्डिनन्स OC-12 अन्तर्गत गठन गरिएको अनुशासन समिति (Disciplinary Committee) ले उजुरीमा छानबिन गरेको थियो। समितिको प्रतिवेदनले यादवलाई अनुशासनहीन र विश्वविद्यालयको आचारसंहिता उल्लंघन गरेको ठहर गर्‍यो। उनले १४ देखि १६ अगस्ट २०२५ को बीचमा विभागीय ह्वाट्सएप समूहमा आपत्तिजनक, अश्लील , आपत्तिजनक र अपमानसूचक सामग्रीहरू पोष्ट गरेर राष्ट्रिय अवसरहरू (स्वतन्त्रता दिवसको उत्सव) प्रति अनादर देखाएको र भारतीय गोर्खा हरुको मातृभाषा संविधान द्वारा स्वीकृति प्राप्त नेपाली भाषालाई तथा गोर्खा जाति प्रति असम्मान प्रकट गरेको आरोप लागेको थियो

Fatal Road Mishap in Geyzing: One Dead, One Critical

Geyzing, Aug 23:
A road accident at Dandagaon Miyon under Yangsum Gram Panchayat in Geyzing Barmek constituency claimed the life of a 23-year-old youth on Friday afternoon.

The deceased has been identified as Pratap Limboo. Another occupant of the vehicle, Subash Limboo, sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to the District Health Centre, officials confirmed.

Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
