There are rumours about the complete opening of teesta -peshok road and NH 10 by day after tomorrow.This is not correct. PWD has completed basic restoration and not completed with all safety precautions. This road is not open for public completely. Few emergency movements and test traffic is being done.
Pls wait for official communication/ notice from administration

We are awaiting clearance PWD and other agencies involved in the same.

This is applicable for NH 10 also. There are rumours that it will open by day after tomorrow. Pls don’t follow the unverified information

Roads have to be opened after necessary safety checking and certification from PWD even for temporary plying.

Pls don’t misguide with rumours

The local District and police administration will come up with a formal announcement soon.

मैलाको थाकमा ह्यान्ड ग्रीनेड भेट्टाइयो

कालेबुङ शहरको नाली सफाई गर्ने क्रममा आज पुरानो ह्यान्ड ग्रीनेड भेट्टाइएको छ। आज बिहान कालेबुङ शहरको नोभेल्टी परिसरदेखि आठ माइलसम्म सन्त जोसेफ कन्भेन्ट, सन्त अगस्तिन स्कुल लगायत अन्य स्कुलका विद्यार्थीवर्गले शहरका नालीहरू सफाई अभियान चलाएका थिए। यसैक्रममा नालीको मैलाको थाकमा उक्त पुरानो ह्यान्ड ग्रीनेड फेला परेको हो। सफाईको क्रममा उक्त पुरानो ह्यान्ड ग्रीनेड फेला परेको कालेबुङ जिल्ला पुलिस अधिक्षक अपराजिता राईले पुष्टि गरेकी छन्।

"आज बिहान कालेबुङ शहरमा स्थानीय स्कुलका विद्यार्थीवर्गले सफाई अभियान चलाउँदा नालीको मैलाको थुप्रोमा पुरानो ह्यान्द ग्रीनेड फेला परेको छ। उक्त ग्रीनेड पाएपछि त्यसलाई तत्कालै कालेबुङ थानामा ल्याएर सम्पूर्ण सुरक्षाको साथमा खुल्ला स्थानमा चारैतिरबाट बालुवाका ब्यागहरू थुपारेर राखिएको छ" पुलिस अधिक्षक अपराजिता राईले भनेकी छन्।

यसक्रममा उनले सीआईडीको बम निरोधक दस्ता र स्थानीय सेनालाई समेत यसबारे सूचित गरेर यसबारे जाँच गरेर आवश्यक्ता अनुसार यसलाई डिफ्युज गरिने पनि जानकारी दिएकी छन्।

This morning during a clean up drive by a local school in Kalimpong town area, an *old rusted* hand-gr***de has been found in a drain, under the debris.

The same was brought to the PS and taking proper care was kept in an open area, surrounded on all sides by heavy sand bags.

Experts at the BDS units of CID and local army unit have been notified and process is on to examine the gr***de so found and neutralise it if considered necessary.
