गोर्खा राष्ट्रिय मुक्ति मोर्चा कालिम्पोङको आयोजनामा पार्टी कार्यालयमा पोस्टरिङ कार्यक्रमसँगै दार्जीलिङ गोर्खा पार्वतीय परिषद सम्झौता दिवस विशेष रूपमा पालन गरिएको छ। कार्यक्रमले गोर्खा जातिको राजनीतिक इतिहास, अधिकार र पहिचानसँग जोडिएको ऐतिहासिक डीजीएचसी सम्झौताको स्मरण गर्दै यसको महत्वलाई पुनः उजागर गरेको छ।

Today, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Union Home Minister Sh. Amit Shah Ji in Siliguri, in the august presence of Hon'ble Chief Minister Sh. Suvendu Adhikari ji to deliberate on a Permanent Political Solution to the long-pending aspirations of the people of our Darjeeling hills, Terai and Dooars region.

We discussed practical, concrete and actionable steps to address the long-standing aspirations and legitimate concerns of the people of our region, with a shared commitment to achieving a just, lasting and dignified resolution.

Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji reiterated the Government of India’s firm and unwavering commitment to addressing these issues. He assured us that, under the decisive and visionary leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi Ji, every sincere and possible effort will be made to address the legitimate aspirations of the people of our region and to secure a meaningful and enduring political resolution.

A broad understanding has been reached today that the Permanent Political Solution (PPS) will be firmly anchored within the framework of the Constitution of India. It will ensure that the solution is strong and capable of addressing the aspirations of the people.

The government has today appointed a High-level Committee under the Chairmanship of Sh. Pankaj Kumar Singh ji, to prepare the comprehensive framework of the proposed solution, marking an important step forward in this long-pending process.

A just and durable settlement will lay the foundation for long-lasting peace, political stability and social harmony in the region. It will create an environment of confidence and certainty, and ensure that the region’s rich identity, culture and aspirations are respected and protected.

Most importantly, a lasting political solution will bring an end to decades of uncertainty and provide our future generations with an opportunity to live with dignity, peace and prosperity. It will open a new chapter of development and cooperation, where the energies of our people can be channelled towards building a stronger, more prosperous and more secure region, fully integrated with the aspirations and progress of a New India.

The meeting was attended by the Union Home Secretary Sh. Govind Mohan Ji, Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly, Director IB Sh. Mahesh Dixit Ji, Interlocutor Sh. Pankaj Kumar Singh Ji, WB Chief Secretary Sh. Manoj Kumar Agarwal Ji, DGP WB Siddha Nath Gupta Ji, and Gorkha political leaders. The participation of all stakeholders reflects a shared resolve to arrive at a just solution.

We express our sincere gratitude to Hon’ble Home Minister Sh. Amit Shah Ji for taking a personal interest in this long-pending issue and for providing a platform for open, meaningful, and fruitful dialogue. His leadership and commitment have ensure that the people of Darjeeling hills, Terai and Dooars will finally receive justice.

Today, I had the honour of joining Hon’ble Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji and the Hon'ble Chief Minister Sh. Suvendu Adhikari Ji at the Ground Breaking and Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony for various Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) projects at the SSB Frontier Headquarters in Siliguri.

Under the decisive leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi ji and Hon'ble HM SH. Amit Shah ji, our internal and border security has been strengthened significantly. The new SSB projects in the strategically important Siliguri region will modernise border infrastructure, enhance operational readiness, and improve facilities for our brave jawans.

SSB plays a vital role in guarding India’s borders with Nepal and Bhutan and in securing the strategically crucial Siliguri Corridor, connecting the Northeast with the rest of India.

These projects mark another important step towards building stronger, smarter and more secure borders. The rapid development of modern infrastructure, a strengthened and technologically advanced security grid, and improved connectivity are transforming our region. Thanks to the dedicated focus of the government, today the “Chicken’s Neck” is emerging as an “Elephant’s Neck” - stronger, sturdier and better equipped to safeguard our nation.

We also joined the jawans for Bada Khana, celebrating their hardwork and thanking them for the sacrifices they make on a daily basis.

I express my sincere gratitude to Shri Amit Shah Ji for his continued commitment to national security and the welfare of our security forces.

सप्तश्री ज्ञानपीठमा नेपाली भाषा मान्यता स्मृति दिवस सम्पन्न

कालेबुङ, २१ अगस्त: सप्तश्री ज्ञानपीठमा नेपाली भाषा मान्यता स्मृति दिवस विविध कार्यक्रमका साथ आज उत्साहपूर्वक सम्पन्न गरियो। विद्यालयको नेपाली विभागद्वारा आयोजित उक्त कार्यक्रममा नेपाली भाषाको ऐतिहासिक महत्त्व, भाषा आन्दोलन, नेपाली भाषाले भारतीय संविधानको आठौँ अनुसूचीमा प्राप्त गरेको मान्यता तथा वर्तमान पुस्ताको दायित्वमाथि विशेष चर्चा गरियो।
कार्यक्रमको शुभारम्भ दीप प्रज्ज्वलनबाट गरिएको थियो। त्यसपछि विद्यार्थीहरूले नेपाली भाषा, साहित्य र संस्कृतिसम्बन्धी नाटक, गीत तथा मन्तव्य प्रस्तुत गरेका थिए।विद्यार्थी होसना विश्वकर्मले “नेपाली भाषा आन्दोलन र उपलब्धि " विषय वार्ता प्रस्तुत गरिन्। नाट्य कलाकार ललित गोले मुख्य अतिथि रहेको कार्यक्रममा भाषा संग्रामी जे.बी. राई, साहित्यकार गौरी नेम्बाङ, साहित्य प्रकाशन परिषद्का मूल सचिव हेमकान्त भण्डारी, वरिष्ठ पत्रकार अरुणकुमार रसाइली, विद्यालयका निर्देशक तपनकुमार प्रधान, प्रधान अध्यापिका स्मृता प्रधान, मेरियम गुरुङ,प्रशासक काइजर छेत्री, श्रद्धा प्रधान, अविनाश छेत्री, खेलकुद निर्देशक सञ्जिप प्रधान आदिको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो। आफ्नो स्वागत सम्बोधन राख्दै कार्यक्रम संयोजक डा.भुवन पी.खनालले भाषा केवल सञ्चारको माध्यम मात्र नभई जातीय पहिचान, संस्कृति, इतिहास र सभ्यताको आधार रहेको विचार व्यक्त गरे।
सन् १९९२ को २० अगस्तमा नेपाली भाषा भारतीय संविधानको आठौँ अनुसूचीमा समावेश हुनु सम्पूर्ण नेपालीभाषी भारतीयहरूको ऐतिहासिक उपलब्धि भएको उल्लेख गरे।
कार्यक्रममा विद्यालयका शिक्षक-शिक्षिका तथा विद्यार्थीहरूको उल्लेखनीय उपस्थिति रहेको थियो। विद्यालयका तर्फबाट नेपाली भाषा, साहित्य र संस्कृतिको संरक्षण तथा सम्वर्द्धनका लागि निरन्तर काम गरिरहेको बताए। कार्यक्रममा मुख्य अतिथि कलाकार ललित गोलेलाई अभिनन्दन जनाइयो। यसरी नै अतिथिहरूलाई पनि स्मृति चिह्न प्रदान गरियो। समारोहमा आईसीएसई अनि आईएससी नेपाली विषयमा ९० प्रतिशतभन्दा बढी अङ्क हासिल गर्ने ११ जना विद्यार्थीहरूलाई सम्मान गरियो। शिक्षक पारस शर्माले सञ्चालन गरेको कार्यक्रममा शिक्षिका सपना छेत्रीले सम्मान पत्र पठन गरिन्।
कार्यक्रमको अन्त्यमा सबैलाई नेपाली भाषाको समृद्धि, संरक्षण र प्रयोगप्रति सचेत र जिम्मेवार बन्न आह्वान गर्दै धन्यवाद ज्ञापन गरिएको थियो।
नेपाली भाषा हाम्रो पहिचान हो, हाम्रो गौरव हो र हाम्रो सांस्कृतिक धरोहर हो।

'द हिल्स आर स्माइलिङ ' पुस्तकको लोकार्पण

कालेबुङ: २० अगस्त : आज कालेबुङको रामकृष्ण रङ्गमञ्चमा सामाजिक अभियन्ताहरूद्वारा आयोजित ३५औँ नेपाली भाषा मान्यता दिवस समारोहमा अधिवक्ता प्रभा राईद्वारा लिखित 'द हिल्स आर स्माइलिङ' नामक अङ्ग्रेजी पुस्तकको लोकार्पण गरियो। कार्यक्रमकी प्रमुख अतिथि पूर्व मुख्य न्यायाधीश मिनाक्षी मदन राई , पद्मश्री डा.जी.एस. योञ्जन,अधिवक्ता प्रताप खाती र अजित राईको बाहुलीबाट लोकार्पण गरियो। पर्यावरण चेतना-का सम्पादक डा. भुवन पी. खनालले कार्यक्रमको सञ्चालन गरेका थिए। चिया बगान , पहाडको परिवेश , जीवन दर्शन र स्थानीय घटनाक्रममा आधारित अधिवक्ता प्रभा राईद्वारा लिखित पुस्तक पठनीय रहेको छ।
