๐ What makes a Speaker truly referable? ๐
This question has been echoing in my mind ever since I attended the IRS Session by PSAI Vadodara Chapter hosted by the wonderful Bharti Naik, with the legendary Maria Franzoni as the Guest.
And let me tell you, sometimes the biggest breakthroughs come not from speakingโฆ but from listening, learning, and reflecting.
Maria dropped golden nuggets that made me pause, think, and even smile at my own blind spots:
๐น You don't need to be known to the world. You need to be recognised and remembered by the bookers.
๐น Simplicity wins. If your message isn't understood, it won't be booked.
๐น Relationships build revenue. Speaking is not just an art; it's a business.
๐น Authenticity is your passport. Be reliable, visible, and easy to work with.
๐น Treat your voice, your positioning, and your website not as vanity tools but as business assets.
As a keynote speaker myself, I walked into this session with curiosity. But I walked out with a bigger respect for the craft.
Because here's the truth:
Being a speaker is not about applause.
It's about being noticed, heard, appreciated, and referred.
It's about leaving people with an impactful memory, not just an inspirational moment.
๐ Deep gratitude to PSAI Vadodara Chapter, to Bharti Naik for hosting so gracefully, and to Maria for enabling us with wisdom that makes us feel both special and worthwhile as we shape our speaking journeys.
I'm still a student at heart, and every PSAI session reminds me of the belonging, courage, and dignity that come with being part of this family.
โจ Question for you:
What's one small change you made in your professional journey that made a bigger difference than you ever imagined?
