This painting is known as dhashara dwar patra.

It is devoted to river Ganga who appeared on the earth on the 10th day of Jyeshtha Mas (month),Shukla Paksh. This festival is known as Ganga Dashara and its celebrated in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar & West bengal ..the states from where the river flows. The significance of this painting or patrra is mantras written on it protects the home from lightening and fire 🔥

As the festival occures before the rainy season so this dwar patra has special importance .
