Remembering, PVC, on his Balidan Diwas. 🇮🇳

Some heroes don't just win battles they become the reason generations learn the meaning of courage.

In the summer of 1999, Captain Vikram Batra led from the front during the Kargil War, displaying extraordinary bravery in the capture of Point 5140. His iconic words, "Yeh Dil Maange More!", became the spirit of a nation that refused to back down.

Days later, during the assault on Point 4875, he once again chose duty over personal safety. While rescuing an injured fellow officer and inspiring his men under relentless enemy fire, he made the supreme sacrifice on 7 July 1999.

He was only 24 years old, yet his legacy has outlived decades. His courage reminds us that patriotism is not measured by words, but by actions. The freedom we enjoy today carries the silent debt of heroes who gave everything so that the Tricolour would always fly high.

Today, we don't just remember a soldier we honour a leader, a warrior, and a son of India whose name will forever echo through the mountains of Kargil.

"Either I will come back after raising the Indian flag in victory, or I will come back wrapped in it. But I will come back for sure."

Forever remembered. Forever respected.
