The Bamboo and the Fern
Once upon a time, a wise old man decided to plant a garden. He planted both a fern and a bamboo seed, watering and caring for them each day. The fern grew quickly, covering the ground with its lush green leaves, but the bamboo showed no signs of growth.
Day after day, the old man continued to water and nurture the bamboo, yet still, nothing happened. Years went by, and the fern flourished, while the bamboo remained as it was—just a seed buried in the ground.
Then, in the fifth year, a miracle happened. The bamboo suddenly sprouted from the ground and grew rapidly, reaching incredible heights within weeks. The old man smiled and said, "The bamboo wasn’t stagnant. It was growing roots—deep, strong roots that would allow it to stand tall and endure."
Moral: Sometimes in life, it may feel like you’re making no progress. But beneath the surface, you’re growing strong roots that will support your future growth. Trust the process, be patient, and your time to rise will come. Keep watering your dreams, even when you can't see the results yet.
