We are pleased to announce that Mr. Mukhtar Zahid has successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis at KMC Language University, Lucknow.
Mr. Zahid pursued his doctoral research under the supervision of Professor Fakhre Aalam, a distinguished scholar of Urdu literature. His thesis, entitled:
"Ladakh Mein Urdu Nasr Ka Tehqiqi-wa-Tanqidi Mutala"
(A Research and Critical Study of Urdu Prose in Ladakh) is a pioneering academic work that critically examines the growth, themes, and stylistic features of Urdu prose emerging from Ladakh. The research offers valuable insights into fiction, essays, travelogues, and critical writings from the region, highlighting their literary merit and socio-cultural relevance.
The Viva-Voce examination was conducted by Professor Siraj Ajmali, a renowned professor of Urdu at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). Professor Ajmali highly appreciated Mr. Zahidβs scholarly effort and praised the literary value of his thesis. He acknowledged the work as an important contribution to Urdu literary studies, especially for bringing to light the underexplored prose traditions of Ladakh.
The examiners and the committee commended the originality, academic depth, and critical perspective of the thesis. With this successful defense, Mr. Mukhtar Zahid has earned his doctorate, establishing himself as a promising scholar in the field of Urdu literature.
This achievement not only reflects his dedication and hard work but also underscores the effective guidance provided by Professor Fakhre Aalam HOD Urdu.
