*9th POLICE MARTYRS MEMORIAL T-20 CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP CONCLUDED*

The 9th Police Martyrs Memorial T-20 Cricket championship concluded at Sports Stadium Kathua here today.
Sh. Dilbag Singh, IPS Director General of Police was the chief guest of today’s event.
The DGP J&K complimented the Kathua Police and Shaheed Welfare Committee for their efforts in organizing T-20 Cricket Championship. He also appreciated the people of Kathua for their support to this championship.He later on distributed trophies and prizes among the winner and runner-up teams. He also paid tribute to the martyrs and personally interacted with the martyr families and distributed gifts among them.He thanked the Shaheed Welfare Committee,all sponsors and Organizers for their outstanding contribution.
Earlier, SSP Kathua Dr. Shailendra Mishra, IPS welcomed the guests and gave a brief of the tournament and other sport initiatives which were taken by the distt. Police during 2020.Besides senior officers from police and civil administration, a large gathering witnessed the final match and the closing ceremony.
In total, Sixteen teams participated in the championship.Today's Final match was played between L.B Shastri Cricket Club Delhi and Haryana Cricket Academy. After winning the toss, Haryana Cricket Academy decided to field. Batting first L.B Shastri Club set a target of 119 in 20 overs while chasing the target Haryana Cricket Club could scored 95 runs in 20 overs by losing 09 wickets.
Yash Garg was declared the Man of the Match who scored 13 runs and clinched 02 wickets. He was awarded with cash prize of Rs.21000/- alongwith trophy. Title of Man of Series was won by Vikas Diksh*t who scored 107 runs and clinched 12 wickets in the series and was awarded Maruti Car Alto 800.
Mr. Harsh*t Koushak was declared the Best Bowler who took 08 wickets and Mr. Dheeru was declared the Best Batsman who scored 134 run
