*MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH; APPROX 550 GRAMS OF HEROINE LIKE NARCOTIC SUBSTANCE RECOVERED BY J&K POLICE KATHUA AT RAJBAGH; 01 INTER STATE NARCO SMUGGLER ARRESTED.*

Kathua; 11 June:- Continuing its efforts against drug menace, J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of *SSP Kathua Ms. Mohita Sharma IPS* recovered approx 550 grams of He**in (Chitta) like narcotic substance at Banyari area of PS Rajbagh, 01 drug peddler arrested on spot.

On 10-05-2026, acting on the intelligent input received through a reliable source, a Police team led by SHO PS Rajbagh assisted by IC PP Marheen under the supervision of *SP Ops. Kathua & SDPO Border* laid down a special naka/ checking at Banyari area and apprehended one person namely *1) Puppy S/o Shah Din R/o Kalichpur Tehsil Dinanagar District Gurdaspur, Punjab* who was enrouted from Punjab towards Marheen via border road and having approx 550 grams of heroine-like substance in his possession. The recovered contraband was seized and the accused person was taken into police custody on the spot. In this regard, a case vide *FIR No. 135/2026 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act has been registered at PS Rajbagh*

* Police again requested people of the area to come forward and share information on 112 or 9858034100 about any such illicit activity with Police for the cause. Your identity will be kept .*

तहसील हीरानगर के गांव पक्का कोठा में सक्षम संगठन के प्रदेश उपाध्यक्ष श्री ओ. डी. अत्री की अध्यक्षता में शहीद जम्मू-कश्मीर पुलिस के वीर जवानों की स्मृति में शीतल जल शबील का आयोजन किया गया। पिछले वर्ष कठुआ के दूरदराज क्षेत्र सुफैन में देश की रक्षा करते हुए आतंकियों से मुकाबला करते समय चार पुलिस जवान वीरगति को प्राप्त हुए थे।
इस अवसर पर सक्षम के जिला अध्यक्ष एवं समाज सेवक वैष्णो दत्त सेठी द्वारा आयोजित कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन एसएचओ हीरानगर श्री अमित सांगड़ा ने किया। कार्यक्रम में सक्षम संगठन के लोकेश जी, कमल जी, मास्टर मनोहर जी, संजीव जी सहित सैकड़ों लोगों ने भाग लेकर शहीदों को श्रद्धासुमन अर्पित किए।

*JAMMU (RURAL) POLICE CONTINUES ANTI-DRUG DRIVE; TWO PERSONS HELD WITH HEROIN-LIKE SUBSTANCE*

*Jammu, 11-06-2026*

Continuing its sustained drive against drug trafficking under the *ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan*, *Jammu (Rural) Police achieved another success by apprehending two persons involved in drug peddling activities* in the jurisdiction of Police Station Nagrota.

A police party of *Police Station Nagrota* while conducting naka checking at Ban Toll Plaza, Jammu *intercepted a white-coloured vehicle bearing registration number PB05Z-2994* which was on its way from Jammu towards Katra and was found moving in suspicious circumstances.

During checking of the vehicle, the police party conducted a search and *recovered 11 grams of heroin-like substance* from the possession of the driver and co-driver.
The accused persons were identified as:

*Sham Lal S/O Krishan Lal R/O Village Kanyalan, Panthal, Katra.*

*Ranjeet Singh S/O Somi Raj R/O Village Chakwah, Batote, Ramban.*

Accordingly, *FIR No. 150/2026 under Sections 8/21/22/25/29 of the NDPS Act* has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation is underway.

Jammu (Rural) Police remains committed towards its sustained drive against the drug menace and appeals to the public to cooperate in eradicating drugs from society.
