Hiranagar, Oct 26 - In a spirited display of community strength and commitment to health, the Hiranagar Border Runner Group successfully organized its second consecutive 10-kilometer “Run for Fun” this Sunday at 6:00 AM. The event began at the Helipad Ground in Gadial, stretched up to Sanji Morh, and returned to the starting point, drawing an enthusiastic crowd of fitness lovers and local youth.

The initiative, launched to raise awareness about the perils of drug abuse and to promote a healthy, disciplined lifestyle, is fast becoming a beacon of hope and unity in the region. The group’s mission is to inspire especially the younger generation to embrace fitness and steer clear of substance abuse.

This week’s run witnessed the active participation of several prominent community members, including Joginder Paul Sharma from Mathra Chack, Police Post Incharge Marheen G. B. Art of Living Empowers Youth Through Utkarsha and Medha Yoga Programs

Kathua - The Art of Living Foundation recently conducted its flagship youth programs, Utkarsha Yoga and Medha Yoga, continuing a legacy of over four decades in nurturing holistic development among students.

Utkarsha Yoga, designed for children aged 8 to 13, offered a vibrant blend of yoga postures, Sudarshan Kriya, concentration techniques, and life skills. Through engaging games and activities, participants learned to manage stress, overcome emotional challenges, and cultivate physical fitness and mental clarity.

For teenagers aged 13 to 18, Medha Yoga provided a deeper experience with mindfulness practices, memory-enhancing techniques, guided meditation, and tools to handle academic pressure. The program focused on building emotional resilience, improving concentration, and fostering inner balance.

Both initiatives reflect the vision of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, who advocates for a stress-free and violence-free society. By equipping youth with practical tools for well-being and emotional harmony, the programs aim to contribute to a more peaceful and positive community.

The sessions received enthusiastic participation and were praised for their transformative impact on young minds.
