*REASI POLICE BOOK 08 HABITUAL OFFENDERS UNDER PREVENTIVE SECTIONS OF BNSS — COMPLAINTS PRODUCED BEFORE EMIC COURT REASI*
*Reasi, October 8:* Continuing its sustained efforts to curb anti-social activities and maintain peace and public order in the district, Reasi Police has booked eight habitual offenders under various preventive sections of the *Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).* Formal complaints against all accused have been produced before the Executive Magistrate Ist Class (EMIC), Reasi for necessary legal action.
The accused have been identified as:
1. Pankaj Khajuria, S/O Dev Raj Khajuria, R/O Talwara, Tehsil & District Reasi.
2. Balbir Singh, S/O Sansar Singh, R/O Talwara, Tehsil & District Reasi.
3. Gagandeep Singh, S/O Inder Singh, R/O Gota, Chassana, District Reasi.
4. Sunil Singh, S/O Baldev Singh, R/O Geeta Nagar, Reasi.
5. Mohd. Jameel, S/O Abdul Majid Gujjar, R/O Geeta Nagar, Reasi.
6. Om Singh, S/O Karair Singh, R/O Geeta Nagar, Reasi.
7. Naresh Singh, S/O Inder Singh, R/O Mari, Reasi.
8. Balbir Kumar, S/O Chain Lal, R/O Mari, Reasi.
All the above individuals are habitual lawbreakers found involved in repeated incidents of breach of peace, public nuisance, and other anti-social activities. Their behavior posed a persistent threat to the tranquility and security of the local population.
Acting swiftly, teams of District Police Reasi compiled detailed dossiers and initiated preventive action under relevant sections of BNSS to restrain their unlawful conduct. The proceedings were completed in accordance with due legal process, and complaints have been submitted before the Court of EMIC Reasi for further judicial determination.
The whole operation was conducted by the team of Police Station Reasi, led by 𝗦𝗛𝗢 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶, 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽. 𝗥𝗮𝗻𝗷𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗥𝗮𝗼, 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝘆.𝗦𝗣 𝗛𝗾𝗿𝘀. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶 𝗦𝗵. 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗹. 𝗦𝗣 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶 𝗦𝗵. 𝗜𝗳𝘁𝗸𝗵𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗱 - 𝗝𝗞𝗣𝗦.
Speaking on the action, *SSP Reasi Sh. Paramvir Singh, JKPS,* reaffirmed that District Police Reasi is fully committed to maintaining law and order and will continue to take stern preventive measures against elements attempting to disturb public peace. He further appealed to citizens to support police efforts by sharing information about anti-social or suspicious activities in their areas.
The proactive initiative reflects Reasi Police’s zero-tolerance approach towards habitual offenders and its dedication to ensuring a safe and peaceful environment across the district.
