The Minister of Education for Arunachal Pradesh, Pasang Dorjee Sona, along with Advisor Mutchu Mithi and other senior officials, attended a follow-up Chintan Shivir cm Education Conclave in Yingkiong.
During the event, Minister Sona underscored the government's vision of providing quality education to every child in the state. He stressed the importance of merging primary schools into larger campuses with better infrastructure, human resources, and holistic educational approaches. The minister emphasized that this restructuring process should be pragmatic, considering factors like existing infrastructure, land availability, and accessibility to basic amenities. He noted that this approach could address 70% of the challenges currently faced by government schools in the state.
The minister also highlighted the Chintan Shivir initiative, which aims to gather feedback from people across the state to improve program implementation. He urged PRI leaders, NGOs, and CBOs to play a crucial role in disseminating information and sensitizing the local population about government policies and programs.
Expressing satisfaction with the overwhelming response from Upper Siang District, Minister Sona thanked everyone for their support. He emphasized that education is a fundamental aspect of life and that everyone should work together to ensure a better future for the next generation.
Advisor Mutchu Mithi also spoke, focusing on the importance of improving the quality of education in the state. Local MLA Alo Libang assured that the restructuring program would be fully implemented in Upper Siang District. MLA Geku Mariyang requested the minister to introduce Science Stream in the Government Higher Secondary School,
DC Upper Siang Hage Lailang also spoke.
