**Good News for R&M Contract Workers of Ratle Project (Units: Shalimar & Drabshalla)**

The purpose of today’s press conference is to share the positive outcome of our long-pending demand placed before the Ratle Management regarding the 30% benefit, which has now been successfully implemented in the Ratle Project.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the CEO, Ratle Project, Shri M.K. Kashyap, and the DGM (HR), Shri A.K. Sahu, for their commendable efforts in implementing the Bonus, Conveyance, Liveries, and PMJJBY schemes. Their proactive support and leadership have made it possible to fulfill this important demand approved by the Ratle Board.

We have full faith and trust in the Ratle Management and believe that they will continue to support and resolve the genuine issues of contract labourers in the future.

We also extend our special thanks to the District President of the State Central Labour Union, Mr. Ajaz Ahmed Sheikh, and General Secretary, Mr. Ajaz Ahmed Lone, whose dedication and continuous efforts have played a key role in achieving this 30% benefit for the contract workers.

Furthermore, we sincerely appreciate the contributions of our President, Mr. Arshad Wani, General Secretary, Mr. Anchal Sharma, and all members of the State Central Labour Union, Ratle Unit, for their commendable work and support.

All contract workers are requested to maintain unity and solidarity so that our remaining demands can be successfully addressed in the future.

Despite submitting a written complaint to the district administration of Kishtwar regarding the Sangrambhata Link Road and Berwar Link Road, why has the administration remained silent?

a dumper collided with electric poles. Can the administration take any action on this matter? Can they ban heavy vehicles from using these link roads, or will they wait for a major accident to happen?

Labourers’ Day is celebrated every year on 1st May across many countries of the world.
It is also known as International Workers’ Day or May Day.
The day is dedicated to honoring the hard work, struggles, and contributions of workers in every field.
It originated from the labour movement of the late 19th century, when workers demanded fair working hours, better wages, and safer conditions.
The Haymarket Affair (1886) in Chicago played a key role in the beginning of this movement, where workers protested for an 8-hour workday.
Many workers sacrificed their lives during these struggles, which is why the day is also a tribute to their sacrifice.
Labourers are considered the backbone of any nation, as they build infrastructure, produce goods, and keep the economy running.
The day reminds us of the importance of workers’ rights, dignity, and fair treatment.
It also highlights the need for safe workplaces and equal opportunities for all workers.
Labourers’ Day is both a celebration and a reminder of ongoing efforts to protect workers’ welfare.
