District Development Commissioner Doda, Sh. Harvinder Singh (IAS), chaired a review meeting to finalize preparations for Seva Parv 2025 (Sept 17 – Oct 2).
Key Highlights:
Plantation drives & swachhta initiatives
Cleanliness & sanitation campaigns across towns & villages
Awareness programmes in schools & colleges (through morning assemblies)
Agriculture Department to organize HADP camps
FCS&CA Dept. to hold awareness on ration entitlements
LDM to enhance coverage of welfare & financial schemes
Health awareness, blood donation & handwash campaigns
Road safety, pollution control & disaster preparedness drills
Active participation of PRIs, ULBs, civil society & youth through sports events
Meeting attended by ADDC, ASP, CPO, ACP, Principals of GDCs, DFO, CEO, CMO, CAO, , Animal & Sheep Husbandry Officers, , ARTO, EO ULB, LDM, AD FCS&CA, and District Social Welfare Officer / District Information Officer Doda.
DDC Doda directed timely inter-departmental coordination, wide publicity through hoardings, syllabus completion in schools, and showcasing of all flagship programmes during Seva Parv.

As part of the Public Outreach Programme and on the directions of the Worthy Deputy Commissioner Doda and Director Health Services Jammu, the Health Department, under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Doda, Dr. Om Kumar, organized a series of medical camps across the district.
The camps were conducted at Village Kota in Medical Block Gandoh and Village Lower Dudhote in Medical Block Ghat, under the supervision of the respective Block Medical Officers.
At Kota, the medical camp was organized jointly by the Health Department and the Indian Army, where nearly 250 patients benefited. The health team comprising Dr. Seema Sehar (MO RBSK), Dr. Kamran John (MO RBSK), and Mrs. Masooda Begum (FMPHW) provided consultations and screening services to the public.
Similarly, at Lower Dudhote, a dedicated health team examined around 40 patients. The team included Ms. Maher-un-Nisa (MLHP), Mrs. Meenu Devi (FMPHW), and local ASHAs, who actively supported the initiative.
During both camps, free medicines, Oral Rehydration Solutions (ORS), and awareness sessions on health, hygiene, and prevention of water-borne diseases were provided to the local population.
