Visit to 624 MW Kiru Hydroelectric Project – 26 May 2026

Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh, Director (Projects), NHPC, along with Shri Ramesh Mukhya, Managing Director of Kiru Hydro Electric Power Project, visited the 624 MW Kiru Hydroelectric Project on 26.05.2026.

The project is being developed by Kiru HEP (CVPPL).

During the visit, Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh was warmly welcomed and briefed on the progress of various ongoing construction activities. The briefing covered key components of the project, including dam works, powerhouse construction, and other major infrastructure developments.

Plantation Drive and Nasha Mukt Abhiyan Organized at Government School Galhar

A successful Plantation Drive and Nasha Mukt Abhiyan was organized today at Government School Galhar by Youth Club Galhar under the JKCIP Agriculture Development Programme, Kishtwar.

The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest BDO Nagseni Shri Subash chander, along with Former Sarpanch Shri Darshan Sharma and Panchayat Member Shri Dorka Nath, who encouraged the participants and appreciated the efforts of the organizers.

The initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and sensitizing the younger generation about the importance of preserving nature while spreading awareness against the menace of drug abuse. Students, volunteers, and community members actively participated in the plantation drive by planting saplings and taking a pledge to contribute towards a greener environment and a drug-free society.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation and conveyed a strong message on environmental conservation, sustainability, and the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle free from substance abuse.

Today, we had the privilege of visiting Hon’ble BJP MLA Kishtwar, Smt. Shagun Parihar ji, along with District President Shri Ravi Parihar ji and other senior party workers at Naigad, Nagseni.

After sharing breakfast together, we proceeded towards Padder to attend the Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Mahabhiyan. The program at Padder was highly informative and focused on strengthening organizational skills, leadership qualities, and dedication towards public service.

It was a productive and inspiring day spent in the company of respected leaders and dedicated party members.
