Devigol Road Reopened After Department Assures Protection Wall; Locals Call Off Road Closure

Bunjwah, September 10: Following the publication of a news report by JK Public Times/Bunjwah Bulletin, highlighting the closure of the Devigol road by local residents over their demand for a protection wall, the matter was brought to the attention of the concerned department and local administration.

Following the report, the concerned R&B Department and Bunjwah Administration intervened and assured the locals that the required protection wall would be constructed along the vulnerable stretch of the road.

The assurance brought relief among the residents, who expressed satisfaction with the response from the authorities. Subsequently, the locals agreed to withdraw their protest and reopened the road for regular traffic.

The development comes after residents had repeatedly raised concerns regarding the safety of the road and the need for a protection wall. The locals have expressed hope that the assurance given by the authorities will be followed by timely ex*****on of the work on the ground.

The issue highlights the importance of timely response to public grievances, particularly concerning road safety and infrastructure in vulnerable areas.

JK Public Times/Bunjwah Bulletin will continue to highlight genuine public issues and bring them to the notice of the concerned authorities.

Devigol Road Under R&B Department Closed by Locals in Bunjwah Over Demand for Protection Wall

Bunjwah, September 10: Locals in Devigol, Bunjwah, have closed the road falling under the jurisdiction of the Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department, demanding immediate construction of a protection wall along the vulnerable stretch.

According to the locals, they have repeatedly raised the issue with the concerned Junior Engineer (JE) and requested necessary action to safeguard the road. However, they alleged that despite several assurances that the matter would be addressed, no concrete action has been taken so far.

Expressing resentment over the prolonged delay, the locals said they were left with no option but to close the road in order to draw the concerned authorities' attention towards the issue.

The residents have urged the R&B Department and the concerned authorities to intervene at the earliest, construct the required protection wall and ensure the road is made safe for regular traffic.
