Having Kerala as home is like having unlimited access to many beautiful gardens. But sometimes it is sad to see how it can be thrashed by waste. One of my favorite things about you is that you never stop trying to become a better person. You're curious, reflective, humble, and always willing to learn 🤍

Moving to Kerala 🇮🇳 sounded exciting, but there were so many moments that felt overwhelming. A new language, learning how to cook here, crowded buses, college, trying to build a new life... and somehow you always seemed to know exactly when I needed a little help.

I'll never forget texting you that I was exhausted after college and that the bus was packed. You simply called and said, "I'll pick you up halfway." 🤍

You always encourage me to grow, and at the same time, you're also the one reminding me to slow down when I expect too much from myself. You get so happy when I learn a few Malayalam words or cook a local dish, as if it's the biggest achievement ever. 🤍

Thank you for making Kerala feel like home, for making me laugh, for believing in me, and for always meeting me halfway 🥰

Happy birthday, lief. I can't wait to see what this next year brings for you... and for us. 🫂
