Onam is a time of joy, unity, and gratitude — and this year, we dedicated it to the women who silently power a cleaner, greener Kerala: the Haritha Karma Sena. Their everyday work in waste management is not just about cleanliness, but about dignity, resilience, and community care.

To make this tribute more meaningful, South Indian film star Neeraja Rajendran lent her wholehearted support, standing with these women and amplifying their story. The video we created as a token of appreciation found its way to thousands when Hon. Minister for Local Self Governance, MB Rajesh, shared it on his official Instagram.

The response was overwhelming, filling the women of Haritha Karma Sena with pride and reminding them that their contribution matters deeply to Kerala.

This effort was also aligned with — an initiative that encourages celebrating responsibly by following green protocols, reducing plastic, and curbing food waste, so that Onam stays as beautiful as the values it represents.

This Onam, we celebrated Kerala’s silent champions — the women of Haritha Karma Sena, who work tirelessly in waste management and community welfare. With the support of South Indian actor Sheelu Abraham, our campaign gained strength and visibility, spreading the message of respect and gratitude for their selfless service. The video, created with love, was later shared by Hon. Minister MB Rajesh on his official Instagram handle, reaching thousands within just a day.

This project was brought to life by the dedicated efforts of our Bworld crew and production team — from direction and camera to coordination and editing — each member played a key role in shaping a film that celebrates a greener, more responsible Onam while honouring the women who make it possible.

This Onam, we wanted to honour the unsung heroes of Kerala — the women of Haritha Karma Sena who dedicate themselves to waste management and uplift communities every day. We were fortunate to have the support of South Indian film star Nikhila Vimal, who gladly joined this cause.
