Big breaking ll वर्धमान स्टेशन पर अफरातफरी, सात यात्री घायल

पश्चिम बंगाल के वर्धमान रेलवे स्टेशन पर रविवार (12 अक्टूबर, 2025) को बड़ा हादसा टल गया। स्टेशन पर यात्रियों की भारी भीड़ के कारण अफरातफरी मच गई। दरअसल, एक साथ कई ट्रेनों के आने से लोग जल्दबाजी में चढ़ने-उतरने लगे, जिससे फूट ओवरब्रिज पर अचानक भगदड़ जैसी स्थिति बन गई।

इस दौरान प्लेटफॉर्म नंबर 4 और 5 को जोड़ने वाली सीढ़ियों पर दबाव बढ़ने से कई यात्री गिर पड़े, जिससे कम से कम सात लोग घायल हो गए। घायलों को तुरंत रेलवे अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है।

रेलवे प्रशासन ने बताया कि स्थिति अब नियंत्रण में है और घटना की जांच के आदेश दिए गए हैं।

Konnangar ll 7th Annual Blood Donation Camp Held in Konnagar ll

Hooghly, Konnagar:
In memory of Manzar Islam (Mantuda), the 15th and 16th Ward Club Coordination Committee of Konnagar, in collaboration with Gangadhar Sporting Club, organized the 7th Annual Day-Night Blood Donation Camp.

Over 300 donors voluntarily donated blood, assisted by expert doctors from Serampore Walsh Hospital who conducted health check-ups before collection. The event saw enthusiastic participation from youth and women alike.

Organizer and councillor Subhashish Choudhury said, “Blood donation transcends caste, creed, and religion it is the purest act of humanity.”

Konnagar Municipality Chairman Swapan Kumar Das praised the initiative, saying it promotes unity, humanity, and the spirit of saving lives.
He added, “Bengal will never accept divisive politics. The people of Bengal stand for peace, brotherhood, and human values. Blood knows no religion — it only saves lives.”

The event was held with the support of Dr. Nandini Ghosh Foundation, and meritorious students of secondary and higher secondary levels were also felicitated.

The primary goal of the camp was to spread awareness about blood donation and encourage people to help those in medical need.

Team W Welfare Society Organizes Blood Donation Camp in Rishra

Hooghly: On the occasion of its second foundation day, Team W Welfare Society organized a blood donation camp at Sawariya Banquet Hall, Ward No. 19, Shrikrishna Nagar, Rishra Municipality.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from men, women, and youth. A total of 100 units of blood were successfully collected by evening. Donors were felicitated with certificates and gifts, while guests were honored for their contribution.

Social worker Asit Srivastava said the camp was held in memory of the late W, who dedicated his life to social service. The society continues his mission, helping the needy through various welfare activities.

A political tussle has erupted over the recent riverbank erosion and cracks along the Ganga in Serampore, just before Durga Puja. Soon after the festival ended, the administration began anti-erosion work, but political statements have now intensified over the issue.
Efforts to prevent erosion along the Serampore riverbank have now turned into a political blame game. While the administration continues immediate relief work, local residents are demanding a permanent and sustainable solution.

कोलकाता: उत्तर बंगाल में हाल ही में आई बाढ़ और भूस्खलन से प्रभावित लोगों की मदद के लिए भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष एवं केंद्रीय शिक्षा राज्य मंत्री सुकांत मजूमदार ने एक अनोखी पहल की है।
गड़ियाहाट बाजार की सड़कों पर उतरे और गले में दानपात्र (बॉक्स) लटकाकर दुकानों और बाजार में घूमते हुए आम लोगों से सहायता की अपील की।

उन्होंने दुकानदारों, ग्राहकों और स्थानीय लोगों से कहा कि उत्तर बंगाल के हजारों परिवार कठिन परिस्थिति में हैं और उनके पुनर्वास के लिए सभी को आगे आना चाहिए।

Before Diwali Haripal Police Seizure HUGE QUANTITY OF Illegal Firecrackers in, Four Arrested

Hooghly: Ahead of Kali Puja and Diwali, Hooghly Rural Police achieved a major success in cracking down on illegal firecracker trade. Acting on a tip-off, Haripal police raided the Malpara area and seized around 515 kg of banned, high-noise firecrackers. Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.

According to police sources, the market value of the seized firecrackers runs into lakhs of rupees. Circle Inspector Prashant Chattopadhyay of Tarkeshwar police said such operations will continue, especially during festival seasons, to prevent accidents and noise pollution caused by illegal firecrackers.

Local residents say illegal firecracker sales spike every year around this time, posing serious safety risks. Police action is being seen as a key step in curbing this hazardous trade.

Tourists from several Bengal districts stranded in North Bengal, administration on alert

Due to heavy rain and landslides in North Bengal, several tourists from Singur, Arambagh, and Baidyabati of Hooghly district are stranded in different locations.
According to sources, some tourists from Arambagh are stuck in Sikkim, while a few from Baidyabati are stranded in other parts of North Bengal.

Meanwhile, the North Bengal administration has launched immediate rescue and relief operations. Local authorities are continuously working to bring all stranded tourists to safety.
The state government is also closely monitoring the situation.

पूर्व सांसद दंपति के घर लक्ष्मी पूजा: एकता और सौहार्द का प्रतीक

पश्चिम बंगाल में सोमवार को जब पूरे बंगाली समुदाय ने श्रद्धा के साथ लक्ष्मी पूजा मनाई, उसी दिन पूर्व सांसद दंपति के घर भी विधिवत रूप से मां लक्ष्मी की पूजा-अर्चना संपन्न हुई। इस आयोजन के माध्यम से उन्होंने समाज को एकता, भाईचारे और सौहार्द का संदेश दिया।

Bengal BJP Protest Erupts in Hooghly After Attack on MP and MLA

Hooghly: Anger flared up among BJP supporters in Hooghly district after a reported attack on BJP MP Khagen Murmu and MLA Shankar Ghosh in North Bengal. The leaders were allegedly assaulted while helping flood victims, leaving them seriously injured. BJP blamed Trinamool Congress workers for the “brutal attack,” calling it proof of the state’s law-and-order collapse.

Protesters blocked roads and burned tyres in several parts of Hooghly, including Chinsurah, where traffic was halted for about 30 minutes before police intervened. BJP warned of a statewide agitation if no swift action is taken. Meanwhile, TMC leaders dismissed the allegations and questioned the BJP’s claims.
