WWE SmackDown Results:
• Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens def. Pretty Deadly to retain the Undisputed Tag Team Championship.
• Austin Theory def. Ridge Holland.
After the match Theory attacks Holland, but Sheamus quickly comes out for the save and Theory retreats.
• Bayley def. Shotzi with an assist from Iyo Sky.
• Grayson Waller is in the ring for The Grayson Waller Effect. Waller introduces Logan Paul as a favorite to win MITB, and says he’s known in the UK for making KSI famous.
Paul comes out to boos. Waller asks what it would mean to have a guaranteed title shot. Paul says it will mean a lot, but he doesn’t know why he’s being booed.
Paul says his dream won’t end until he has WWE gold around his waist.
Paul says he might get his payback on Seth Rollins, or maybe he takes care of unfinished business with Roman Reigns, or maybe he will just smack LA Knight with the briefcase.
LA Knight interrupts to a big pop. Knight says Paul has proven a lot with what he’s been given, but Knight hasn’t been given a thing but still has fans calling for him. Yeah.
He says every time he walks into the arena the whole world jumps to their feet, because he made it that way.
LA respects Paul for what he’s done on social media but now he’s standing in a WWE ring, and he needs to realize the MITB odds are on Knight for a reason.
Paul asks “megastar to who?” and mocks Knight for having been called up as a manager after twenty lackluster years in the business.
Knight says if Paul ain’t heard, he’s not listening, and he asks the crowd to tell ‘em whose game it is, and they oblige, saying “LA Knight.” Paul tells the fans to go home because they’re drunk.
Santos Escobar interrupts. Escobar says Knight thinks he’s already won and Paul wants to win, but Escobar needs to win this.
Butch comes out and he immediately goes after Paul. A brawl takes place as we go to the commercial.
• Triple-Threat: Butch def. Santos Escobar & LA Knight.
Post-match:
Butch climbs the ladder and grabs the briefcase, making it clear he isn't winning the briefcase at MITB.
• Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair for the Women's Championship ends in a No Contest after Bianca Belair interferes (7:30).
Belair hits KOD to both on the announce table.
• Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa & Paul Heyman hit the ring. Reigns calls on London to acknowledge him, and they acknowledge him with boos.
Reigns says he has let The Usos say “We The Ones” for a few years now, but now he’s the only One. He knows people think that he’s an arrogant narcissist, but he’s the greatest of all time.
He’s the only one that loves and cares about his cousins, no one gave them opportunities but him, he brought them to the Promise Land. Fans chant “Roman sucks". Reigns says what sucks is when family betrays you.
Reigns says he’s the only one in the family who wants to give them a second chance, and a third chance, and a fourth chance, like a good father.
And as a good Tribal Chief, he’ll give Usos as many chances as they need, but they need to come out here, bow down, acknowledge him, apologize, and then move on.
The Usos interrupt to a big pop. Jimmy says they are past acknowledging and apologizing, they are done with The Bloodline, it’s all about consequences now.
Jey says Reigns has never thought about the consequences if he loses. What happens if he loses?
Jey: What’s the last time Roman has been pinned?
Jimmy: Three years ago.
Jey: The next time?
Jimmy: Tomorrow night.
And when Reigns loses, he’s the only one out. Neither of them want to be Tribal Chief, but they got somebody who might fit the job perfectly, and even though he’s tripping, he got the Usos’ votes.
Usos stare down Solo and a loud "Solo" chants break out. Reigns laughs at the idea and looks over at Sikoa, who isn’t laughing. Reigns then gets serious.
Jey climbs up the apron. Reigns says Jey is nothing without him. Reigns is mushed in the face by Jey, right into a superkick by Jimmy.
A big brawl breaks out and it ends with Jey hitting a su***de dive, taking Reigns & Solo down.
