Where is India? Or in every corner of India, there exists another India? From Marathi’s Ganesh Chaturthi in Maharashtra to Bengali’s Durga Puja in West Bengal… actually everywhere there is an existence of “Bharat” or “India” itself. Being back home after office, tired…. watching TV with family sitting at the dinner table…. In between in some news channel, hearing some news anchor screaming and at
the end when one gets to know, which celebrity is a drug addict?…. That becomes the ultimate, whamming news. But that very moment, someone gets r***d in one part of the country…and in another part; thousands of people die of hunger. And then comes the Post-colonial era. We all fall into a market in India, where we see and hear many things…but there are a lot of things that we can’t see or hear…. At least not until it wants to reach us in this market. As a result we often lose sight of what is true and what is false. Team “The Unwritten India” aims to explore the places that many people miss out and can’t see or hear, intentionally or unintentionally. So what is happening and continues to happen, everything is connected to the diversity, joy and sorrow and gains and pains of the people. That hidden, unseen and unheard 'ভারত' 'भारत' 'India'….is what we aim to find out!
