Here's the primary reason for my Europe trip 2026. I went with a Schengen Business Visa instead of a Tourist one.

I presented my research paper titled "Widowhood as Social Discipline: An Anthropological Reading of Nagesh Kukunoor's Dor" at the 9th International Conference on Gender Research (ICGR 2026), organized by ACPI and hosted by Gdansk University of Technology (Polytechnica Gdanska), Poland.

I had the privilege to meet from some of the brightest minds from across the globe and witness their works and perspectives on Gender.

The carousel of photos consists of the conference presentation, conference lunch, pre-conference meet-up, and institute campus tour.

My heartfelt gratitude goes to my alma mater, Gandhinagar Institute of Technology (especially the faculty of the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences) for selecting my application for partial funding to support my conference expenses, a rare initiative offered by Indian institutions for Master's level students.

A little academic showoff: I presented my research paper titled, 'Widowhood as Social Discipline ' An Anthropological Reading of Nagesh Kukunoor's Dor" at the 9th International Conference on Gender Research (ICGR 2026), organized by ACPI and hosted by Gdansk University of Technology (Polytechnica Gdanska), Poland.

The photos are from the pre-conference meet-up, conference lunch, my presentation, and a little tour of the institute campus.

I'm grateful to for the partial funding to support my expenses, a rare initiative offered for Master's level students in Indian institutions for international conferences.

Day 2 in Polska 🇵🇱
Exploring the beach city of Sopot
Such a small and quiet city, the only sounds were made by the waves of the Baltic Sea and vibing music from the cute cafe and restaurants.
Absolutely loved strolling through the beautiful lanes.

Day 1 in Gdansk, Poland 🇵🇱What a pleasurable solo walk! 🤍❤️

I was going to stay at a hostel in Gdansk, Poland. On second thought, I selected this hotel. 'Cause a separate washroom and solitude after a long day is my priority.

Also, this happens to be a 2 star hotel. Like what?

What a fantastic stay! Thank you 🙏🏻

How can something so beautiful as this be so cruel to the human mind overpowering with darkness thereafter?
